The main problem of marijuana is that after some time your brain gets so addicted that it won't do as much effect as it used to do when you started, so it's most likely that you will start looking for stronger drugs. I don't think marijuana is that damaging itself too, but it works as a path to other drugs, most drug addicted people started with it, so....wouldn't be a good idea to legalize it in my opinion

thats where you've gone wrong
people grow marijuana to sell it on the streets (no tax) so if the government was to legalize it the users will still get there marijuana from the deals that grow it, for the people smoking it that would be cheaper than paying extra on taxing it. so in the end the government wouldn't get that much money out of it, and they would still be spending money trying to stop others from growing it themselves.
so it would be a massive fail

Very good! But if you owned a pharmaceutical company I bet your views would be different. Because marijuana is most effective in it's natural state it would be hard to patent. Imagine people starting to grow their own medicine... this could be detrimental for oxycotin sales. I agree; legalize marijuana. I agree with all of your points. We'd have more money for things that we can actually profit from. People also use marijuana for medical purposes. It helps with pain, depression, anxiety...all sorts of things. If you've ever seen "Super High Me", they did a bunch of tests and found slight difference with him . Most people who smoke weed are too stoned to be violent. The reason i say most is because some people have adverse reactions. My cousin being one of them.. :{

I hate tobacco and I hate alcohol.
But i love weed. I don't smoke it everyday.. but when you are on a summer vocation with 6 other friends with a fire in the beach with reggae music on, you need some weed to make a perfect night.
In portugal marijuana was decriminalized, but I would suggest legalization because my country is almost at bankrupt and legalization would be a great way to gain money.

There are other surveys though, that show that people who've smoked marijuana over 5 times until their 21st year of age, have a 40% more chance of psychotic diseases and schizophrenia. Just think about the chances of someone who's a regular marijuana smoker.
I'm not against it because it's in one's judgement if they want to risk it or not. But still, lets be a bit honest here.. How can chemistry that affects your mood so dramatically, be good for you?

Problem is people don't believe any of the information on the harmful effects because we know atleast 80% of it is bullshit, so the other 20% probably is too. People don't realize there can be many negative effects to over use of anything, including weed obviously. Also, let's stop using the word "marijuana", it was made during the '30s to sound more Mexican, therefore evil. Cannabis is better.

The main problem of marijuana is that after some time your brain gets so addicted that it won't do as much effect as it used to do when you started, so it's most likely that you will start looking for stronger drugs. I don't think marijuana is that damaging itself too, but it works as a path to other drugs, most drug addicted people started with it, so....wouldn't be a good idea to legalize it in my opinion

the reason is that the mafia sells it and they get a lot of money selling it so if the state would start selling marijuana in stores or anywhere the mafia would loose one of their biggest income and the state would get a shitload of money that could go to helping people and build up hospitals and other things that are important.

When I smoked my first cigarette, I had to sit down. Most people don't move on from tobacco. Most drug addicted people actually start with drinking and cigarettes. And they all drink milk before that. That's a complete nonsense of a theory.
