  • ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL SONG!

    I LIKE THIS!

THIS VIDEO MAY CONSTITUTE SONOR COLUMN FOR ANOTHER MOVIE!

  • "Fate seemed to pull the strings.....I turned and you were gone....".

  • Nice rendition of Charade by Ray Conniff,

he has left a legacy of his work for us to enjoy.

  • does anyone know who took the beginning of this song and made one o the best underground hip hop songs?

  • Thanks for sharing this wonderful song.

  • My pleasure.

  • This Is Soo Beautiful!!! 5*s+ Thanks Basil....Anita...

  • Got to agree with you!

  • SirBasil, I can't get this out of my head! In the best possible way, of course.

  • Bring back "Sing Something Simple"!

  • Ooh, I love, love, love everything about this!

  • Musical perfection - in stereo!

  • @SirBasildeBrush

    Sir Basil,

Here I am again to thank you for posting this treasure. Jackie

Allen's voice was one of the most beautiful and powerful I have seen on atage. The whole of her body sang together with the Ray Conniff Singers. Her "coppertura" can not be forgotten. She passed away some months ago. R.I.P.

  • @Alce2008 Very sad to hear. Wish I could have seen her perform, sounds magical.

  • Ray Coniff/Orchestra/Singers - it doesn't get much better than this (unless they start doing surf songs). Thanks for posting this Basil.

  • Yes, they're fantastic!

  • Ottimo Sir.

Beautiful song by Mancini. The film is V Nice.

  • I don't think I ever saw the film or heard this nice tune. Thanks.

  • Thanks, but click on the video icon, then 'View all 10 comments', to find a comment by a Mr grandprix63...

  • Oh, that guy ...

Ten months ago, how could I forget this tune? Hard to decide which is best, Mancinis or Coniffs... It's a tie :)

  • I know what you - I thought Mancini, but I quite like this faster pace and that pronounced 1-2-3 waltz rhythm.

  • ...mean...

  • This kind of reminds me of Kurt Weill-style cabaret-ish music, like "Mack the Knife"--it's sort of more dramatic and weighty than it seems at first.

  • my first waltz...simply wonderful...Ray Conniff with the Sir Basil Singers...and the Sir Verne of L.A. dancers...ahhhh what memories of topping the bill!!!

    Your pal in prison,

    Bubba

  • That'd be a video worth seeing!
