I just view your and you need to acclimate corals to your lighting(photo) little lighting at a time for a period no less than 4 weeks, and DO NOT pour water from any store into your tank. I have been in the hobby for a very long time and still learning. By the way the puffers are not a good idea in that tank they are territorial and one will eventually kill the otherone. sometimes you get lucky, lets hope you will. great job on the vid. keep it up.
@lexdiamond20 thanks. im going to put my gsp in my 75 fowlr when he starts nipping at my F8 in the ten. I know i shouldn't have put him in the 10 in the first tank but hes healthy and happy as could be. also i love your tanks
@lexdiamond20 just thought i'd add that I successfully converted him over about 5 months, hes in my 75 fowlr right now and fortunately the v. lionfish hasn't eaten him yet and found good friends in my wrasse and blue dot toby. the salinity is 1.024 now. and i was going to throw my F8 in there too, but unfortunately, he is just way too small, so over the next few months, I am going to convert him from 1.019 back to freshwater for my 30g. your videos have inspired me, thanks
Not to other fish but they went directly after my cleaner shrimp when I added it. Had to banish them both to my sump. Sucks but $5 puffers vs. $30 cleaner shrimp.
Good to see someone else keeping these puffers properly, nice tank

do you need to always keep your salinity at 1.021 or something low like that, or is it okay if it varies from 1.023 to 1.025?

@TheGoodstuff69 Slight variations are fine but nothing too big.

Does your green spotted puffer and maroon get along since they are both aggressive? How do you keep your puffer with snails and crabs?
sneakerhead408 1 year ago
The puffers didn't bother any other fish. The only problem I ran into was it chasing my cleaner shrimp when I added it to the tank.

I love your videos, they've really helped me pass the time while I was waiting for my 75 gallon tank to cycle. Keep up the good work.

have your green spotted puffers ever been mean to your other fish?

ok haha i just started a 55 reef tank and i really want one but i also want a few shrimps should i add the shrimp first or what?? lol
hotdoghee123 2 years ago
ya, you should add a clean-up crew like shrimp crabs snails etc first, then fish

Shrimp and puffers dont mix at all. Puffers are not reef safe. Wish they were as I would be all over a Valentini puffer. Things are amazing.
