A great way to deal with all those bugbears is to use bramble thorns, or whatever its called, lure them into it, cast icestorm in the same area, and punt them with fireballs and flamestrike/call lightning. From the brambles alone I've ended up killing the tougher bugbears. :/ And I've found most ranged attacks to be very, very bad....especially against demons...
I would advise removing the ranger/mages armour. He seems to fail so much at everything while recieving very little damage. After all if he fails at casting his spells then he isn't as much use as he should be , especially since he seems to be total incompetant with his bow.
Let's not let the fact that the druid was flanked and thus distracted by another bugbear, leaving some opening in her defenses for the other bugbear to take advantage of, leave us with any impression that the sneak attack made sense.
First of all, the Paladin was the one getting flanked.
Secondly, I know well of the D&D mechanics and was not discussing whether or not the strike should have triggered a "sneak attack" (even though that ogre wasn't even facing Abbadon... but well, moving on). I was merely pointing how the word "sneak" wasn't the best way of describing the scene.
"Then, before you can say fiddlesticks, again, we fireball the arseholes" uhh... You in a bad mood? Also, I thick that Iuz sheild is better than Alexis' one.
@Suiton1 Do you know how hard it is to overcome an armor class over 15 (most enemies in this game) with a non enchanted (even with just magic weapon) light crossbow is. On some enemies unless if he rolls a natural 20 he will ALWAYS miss. But yes he should have gotten at the very least a heavy crossbow.
@iamnotfromearth Gotta love the D&D armor class rules, really. Wearing plate mail doesn't give you any damage reduction, no, it exudes a magical aura that induces The Principle of Evil Marksmanship :)
3:46You (rightfully) have all the confidence in the world entering into the fight, and it isn't until there's just ONE left that your party ALL miss, miss, miss. Typical, D&D, just typical!
You should try out the Panda Bear sometime - he's so cool! Mine's named "Namo".

I don't know if you officiallly have announced this yet Kiko, but if you do Ultima Underworld games for your next LP, I will love you forever!
(And if you don't...I will come to your house, stand by you, role play as Iolo and constantly ask "When do we eat?)

You're in Greyhawk, Kiko. Not Forgotten Realms.

Timothy is garbage with his bow. Barely ever hits, and when it did in this battle, it did 1 damage. Better off casting spells.

sooo ... how many bears have you "killed" so far? :P poor thing ...

Has Timothy ever succeeded a spell? I can't say I remember him doing so, except perhaps out of battle.

An armored bugbear charging his enemy with a shield and a big axe ? Pretty sneaky !
Sometimes, I simply love D&D logic.

Nope, let's not bother with trifling details.

You can generally buy a masterwork scimitar from Otis at nulb, Sometimes you have to sleep/go do something else to refresh his stock.

Timothy is the worst archer ever.
sonofa2 1 year ago 4
@sonofa2 It is odd, Timothy did take a starting level of Rogue so he SHOULD be better with a crossbow due to the high DEX Kiko gave him.
PwnzorBob 1 year ago 2
@sonofa2
Ditto, I hate him, since the start of this LP he has been missing like 99.9% of the time, and when he eventually lands a hit he does like 1-3 damage.
