I have the perfect example for you: a modern piece of literature is an artistic entertainment medium but there are other kinds of books as well - like kids color books if you would consider those an artistic entertainment medium as well you'd have to admit: they primarily appeal to toddlers. This brings us back to the original point which is the classification of "anime" and the comparison of "anime" and actual film and cinematic art

There are several different forms of entertainment as well - entertainment at a level which statistically appeals to people with a higher education level and the tons of dull forms of entertainment which rather appeal to people with a lower education. There are cartoons that are meant for adults like family guy and american dad for example but they are supposed to have entertainment value and be funny but that those anime producers want their shit to look all serious - I think this is a bad influence on our children...
