The MIB turned into the spider and paralyled them...but didnt kill them! nikki and paulo were candidates and the MIB tricked the losties into burring them alive...so the losties killed them!!! just as MIB is trying to get everyone to kill eachother now!!

the ending was fucked up, the spider only paralyzed aleemone, they would have regained their motor skills several hours after being bite, like w/ nikki eyes, 5 or 10 minutes after their burial, they would have been walking around again, lol, tragic. FUCK OFF HATERS! Lost just wanted to show other people are on the island who had their own problems to deal with. A simple side story away from the hatch, the 108 mins., henry gale, the others, etc. SCREW OFF.

except that every other side story added something to the overall plot, this one didn't. In fact I do believe that the producers said originally that Nikki and Paulo were supposed to become kind of like Boone and Shannon, and then they were abruptly killed. It just didn't add up or make any sense story wise. Most of the nameless losties either stay nameless or have storylines that further the overall plot(libby). These are pretty much the only ones that dont really fit in the overall plot.

I do wonder though why Nikki cared so much about the Diamonds on the island though..as if they had some sort of worth there? She caused all of that for caring so much about some damn diamonds. Oh well, I still loved them. RIP Nikki +Paulo!

Different spiders, different amounts of vemon from a longer or shorter bite, different body chemistry, different people of different sexes with different weights, there's plenty of variables that could determine it.

Plus it's creepier to me that she opened her eyes I don't know why...

It's the same spider, Paulo got bitten on the neck which could be a much more potent location than the ankle so the effects would probably last longer.

truth is, i want them back. their characters leaves so much more. i do think that are going back, pretty much how shannon, boone, charlie and in a future episode, libby, came back to the show. they were freaking buried alive. they lived and took refuge in one of the hatches where more secrets are revealed. lost doesn't just put characters in their series.
