you look way tanner then nw 20 or nw25, i work for mac, and i see this all the time, im not sure if you can tell yourself, but to others in natural light you can really see the difference between your face and body. I used to have nc15 and i couldent figure out why it looked so wierd, turns out im a nc20. and im about 2 shades lighter then u even in the videos u look pallest. so i recomend nw30. be happy, ur tan(lucky) :)
I was looking at some past comments and saw you didnt like the clarins- but your face is always so tan and im wondering what you are currently using or what you like as a face self tanner!!! I dont care for st tropez on my face because it looks a little muddy and am looking for something else- Thanks so much!!
Hi Lisa you look so pretty!! Question a lot of people love the Neostrata sunless tanner. It looks scary(thick) (greenish) but- it seems to be gorgeous on...have you reviewed it?
Hi Lisa can you let me know if you have heard or did a review on Neostrata sunless tanning cream- it looks a bit weird (greenish) but some people say its fantastic......... I am scared to try it.
I have not yet tried that self tanner maybee I will look for it next year! :o) A lot of good self tanners have a green tinge to it to keep it from getting to orange/brassy on your skin! Good Luck!
Hey! You are so pretty! I use self tanner too, i love to be tan, bnut like you said, skin cancer!!!! Ya I have used many, do you know one that gets nice and dark? I have used clarins intense and I like it.
I can relate. My father died of melanoma at 58. His brother, my uncle, died 5 years earlier. Thank God, my daughter, at the tender age of 21, wqs diagnosed with basal cell skin cancer--not life threatening, but she had major surgery on her back. She avoided the sun her whole life! Ladies, WEAR YOUR SUNBLOCK! You can still enjoy make-up and fun, just take care! JM
I can see how you'd find the Clarins face tanner drying. I apply Yes to Carrots Vitamin C thru the night cream before, let it soak in a little, then apply the tanner. I have combination skin though... Try Neostrata's Face Tanning Foam, it's light and airy.
I have it on my list pf reviews to do! :o) I will say if you have oily or combination skin you have to be careful with it! It is great for dry skin or areas spoecifically with lines like around your eyes and lips! :o)
Thanks for the comment back and update on the Clarins Lisa.
Sorry it dried you out :(. I actually had it in my hand yesterday when I went to Sephora.. but was "trying" to stay on a budget so picked up some Shisedo eye primer, Nars Laguna, some Clinique and a Stila eyeliner... LOL. Had to stop somewhere.. haha... glad I did now! :o)
When I use a high SPF sunscreen, I get darker then usual.
Why don't you use Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Protective Recovery Complex. Its suppose to help with damages that the sun does also it mininize the chances for free radacial to penetrate into your skin for the day.
If you use a Foundation one shade lighter then usual, won't that give you a bronzed look?
I might have to look in to that I dont like the clarins it dried my skin out bad! :o( I use retinA from my dermnatologist- so that is way stronger than any over the counter stuff, but my spots are pretty deep! Plus I do laser facials! :o) Thanks for the tips!
When you say Zinc and Chickpea- do you mean takign zinc and eating chickpeas or somehow applying either to your skin? these are new to me! :o) I have thought of the shu uemera but my derm says it wont help the lasers and checmical pells are what i need! Thank goodness for foundation! :o)
That lip tint looks great on you! I just bought studio sculpt and I'm on the fence- I think I may return it-I'm just not in love with it. I'll have to try the Clarins-your tan looks very natural.
dont try the clarins- it dried my skin out and made me ashy half way throught the day! I say return the SS and try something else! Korres is great! :o) goodluck finding what you want!
Hello, you look very lovely with this tanned skin. Makes your beautiful eyes pop. The 2 Clarins products are must have. This little red pot is a genius product. I use it everyday, great primer, easy to use and it does what it says. Sunny kisses from Martinique
Thanks- the tanner is not a must have to dried my skin out bad and made me really ashy! :o( the primer is good undereye but didnt hold my foundation! :o(
It's funny you should mention self-tanners because I've been twittering about Fake Bake the past few days. A lot of celebrities use it and lots of people rave about it so I decided to give it a try. I really like it and I'm not streaky at all! So if those others don't do it for you try the Fake Bake. :D
dont try the tanner- it dried my skin out so bad and made me look ashy half way through the day! :o( I am going to do a review/update to let people know- it is going back!
Wow.. you for sure look bronzy! Im going to run out and get Clarins now.. Ive been using Jergens or something .. i think its too orangy.. you look bronze in a good way.
Let us know how the towels work for ya. I have a hard time with streaking so ya, those may be a good thing!
I would love to hear your review for the Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch primer. I've heard great things about it. I'd like to know if it applies easily, if you think it would be good for slightly dry skin, and if your foundation looks better and stays on longer without any oxidation when you use it. I always find at least one thing I want to buy when I watch your videos--you review such a wide variety of products. Fun! :)
So far it did not hold the founadtion on at all- but I love it for my eyes as an undereye primer! My skin is combination and it just didnt work- I am going to try it again after the tanner is worn off though (the tanner dried my face out bad and is going back!)
it is going back it dried my face out really bad! I am going to do a review update first though! I stopped using it though! Going back to my old facial tanner i think!
lol first i thought you went very happy with the bronzer! while i do like how tan your face is, i think if you went a litlte less it would be better - it looks rather obvious and your lovely face looks brown, not really golden ..
the best self tanner i've ever used is the Banana Boat Every Day Glow Sun Dial FACE Self-Tanning Moisturizer it's great because you can control the color but just a suggestion =]
Hi, great haul here:) I use the exact same primer from Clarins and I like it very much - I've used it for 2 months now and I have for probably 2 more (and you would't tell when you buy it and see the 15 mililiters inside, but you need very little:)))
:( The Studio Sculpt broke me out! Which sucks b/c I was looking for a new foundation and was really excited about that one! I'm going to see if I can find the korres here in Canada though :)
thanks girl- it is that korres! Love it! :o) I read about the ginger one I think it may be to light of a coverage for me. are you usually a NW or NC in MAC?
dont do it- I am returning mine- it really dried my skin out even w extra moisturizer! :o( I will return it for a different type and give it a try! :oP
haha sorry for all the comments...just read ur twitter, and it was saying the clarins dried u out? you should try the original non tinted...its called the liquid bronze...you will like it better prolly!
yeah i have to do the body tanner I just havent gotten to it yet! My hands are always way paller than everythign else because I wash them so much! :o)
yeah i could really tell you were darker with the Clarins Intense Bronze Self Tanning Tint and it dosent look fake or dirty at all. You Look really pretty to.
I have always used the clarins liwuid bronze self tanner, and I LOVE IT, I might have to try the tinted one...looks great on you! I think clarins is the best for the face...never breaks me out!
I don't use any tanning stuff whether in the bed or faux stuff. Too much of a hastle. when I went to the Bahamas last year I came home and everyone said I had no tan and I said, "LOADED up on SPF 50." lol My b/f and I reappiled that every single time we left to go outside. I was surprised at how many people were blood red! ugh.
PS: My shopping next week will look sad compared to yours. haha!
I would love a review on the two Clarins products. I am a tanning bed user in the spring & summer, but not as much since I sold my bed last summer. There is nothing worse than being orange, coming off on your clothes and coming off on the leather in my car grrr. So, I would love to know how the Tanning Tint and the primer works out for you. Take care:)
well so far I already had to reapply powder with this primer, so :oP not good so far! I stopped tanning years ago and my skin looks so much better now! i love the clarins face tanner so far- great color- no orage at all! Just a nice bronze look! havent tried the towels yet! I will keep you posted! we still have to discuss the RHOC final episode! :o)
You should try the Perricone Ceramic Skin Smoother as a primer if you haven't already. I am obsessed with that stuff because it smooths fine lines, evens everything out, and is oil free :)
when can you buy the Perricone? I have not tried that one yet! Doesn it hold y our foundation all day? So far the calrins I had to reapply powder and it is only 2pm!
what s the difference between tendertone and lip conditioner?>
mayeb a little reviews? please. i want to get a new pink fish from HK collection, but not supoer sure,i have a toooooon on other much cheaper chapstickes and things of that sort, you know :-)
the lip conditioner has a slight color to it the tendertones do not- also the tendertones have a shimmer to them and the LC does not. I hope this helped you! :o)
I am in love with the tendertones I just bought my first one and now want all of them. Please tell us or send me a message after the first few times you use the new primer i am on the fence about ordering this and was going to do it this weekend so let me know thanks
you look GORGEOUSLY and FLAWLESSLY tanned omg....I'm running out to go get those tanning items RIGHT AWAY!!! The best self-tanner I've used for my body only (not face) is Bare Escentuals Faux Tan...it smells great and looks really natural :)
ur tan looks GORGEOUS!!!! OMG i'm sooooo jealous!!! i have that primer! i think i liked my Clinique pore minimizer better tho. omg i can't wait for u to review all the tanners. i am looking for a great one! i have select moisturecover concealer.. where do u use urs? undereye? i don't really care for mine. lisa, u just look amazing. i can't get over it!
Thanks girl! :o) i didnt liek the clinique one- I actually just took it back last week! :oP I use the select under my eyes mostly but for sun spots also! If you use it under your eyes make sure it is a NW color! Thanks for all the lovley compliments! :o)
Lollipop26 mentioned a tanner by St Tropez Auto Bronzant (?) that she likes. Might want to try that one. She mixes it with body butter. I like that idea.
Oh, and with the TanTowels, I do it at night a little before going to bed and then you wake up with a great tan. I find if I do it in the a.m. then I'm worrying that I'll mess it up by getting wet (dishes, kids, etc) and end up w/spots. Plus you don't smell it when you're sleeping. :) Thanks for the videos.
She said too that the Estee Lauder Tanning Water seems to have been discontinued. I kind of wanted to try it for my face since all tanning products make me break out. So do chemical SPFs. So I use Peter Thomas Roth mineral SPF in a tube w/ it's own brush applicator. Pretty good, won't make me break out, and I can use it on my kids - ears, hair part - all kinds of places you wouldn't put lotion sunscreen. And no zits.
It doesn't matter, as long as you don't put a heavy moisturizer on before tanning. It seems to block it from being absorbed. I do it when my skin is dry and it goes on better. However, when I tan at night, I definitely want to shower in the morning because I can smell it. It's not terrible like some products, but it's not exactly pretty.
I had skin cancer in my late 20s, so now in my 30s I avoid the sun as much as possible. Had several precancerous, displastic, abnormal issues since. No sun 4 me! I use the TanTowels (plus the daily tan/hydrate lotion). They work well. Just be careful of knees, ankles, elbow, knuckles. I usually put some lotion on those areas a minute or two before I tan. Also can rub a damp towel lightly over those areas after tanning to take off excess.
you look way tanner then nw 20 or nw25, i work for mac, and i see this all the time, im not sure if you can tell yourself, but to others in natural light you can really see the difference between your face and body. I used to have nc15 and i couldent figure out why it looked so wierd, turns out im a nc20. and im about 2 shades lighter then u even in the videos u look pallest. so i recomend nw30. be happy, ur tan(lucky) :)

Take care:)
macface2adore 3 years ago
well so far I already had to reapply powder with this primer, so :oP not good so far!

I am obsessed with that stuff because it smooths fine lines, evens everything out, and is oil free :)
caliprincess04 3 years ago
when can you buy the Perricone? I have not tried that one yet! Doesn it hold y our foundation all day? So far the calrins I had to reapply powder and it is only 2pm!

Hi, normally I tell you that your skin is glowing, but today it was your eye colour.
I have petting pink, thinking of getting pink fish when it lands in the UK.

HSN has good deals on TanTowel products. Okay, last comment, I promise.
jalapena2007 3 years ago
I had seen it there, but I had a $10.00 off cupon at ulta so it was cheaper there! :o)
Lisasz09 3 years ago
Lollipop26 mentioned a tanner by St Tropez Auto Bronzant (?) that she likes. Might want to try that one. She mixes it with body butter. I like that idea.
Oh, and with the TanTowels, I do it at night a little before going to bed and then you wake up with a great tan. I find if I do it in the a.m. then I'm worrying that I'll mess it up by getting wet (dishes, kids, etc) and end up w/spots. Plus you don't smell it when you're sleeping. :) Thanks for the videos.
jalapena2007 3 years ago
I think she has been having trouble finding that now that she mentioned it! :o( Great idea to use them at night too! :o)
Lisasz09 3 years ago
She said too that the Estee Lauder Tanning Water seems to have been discontinued. I kind of wanted to try it for my face since all tanning products make me break out. So do chemical SPFs. So I use Peter Thomas Roth mineral SPF in a tube w/ it's own brush applicator. Pretty good, won't make me break out, and I can use it on my kids - ears, hair part - all kinds of places you wouldn't put lotion sunscreen. And no zits.
jalapena2007 3 years ago
I think the clairs may be simialr since it is a water texture also! Ask for a sample then just try it first! :o)
Lisasz09 3 years ago
also do you shower before you use the towels or just shower in the morning and use them at night?
Lisasz09 3 years ago
It doesn't matter, as long as you don't put a heavy moisturizer on before tanning. It seems to block it from being absorbed. I do it when my skin is dry and it goes on better. However, when I tan at night, I definitely want to shower in the morning because I can smell it. It's not terrible like some products, but it's not exactly pretty.
jalapena2007 3 years ago
good to know! I always shower after using tanner cause the smell really gets to me on most of them! :o)

Also can rub a damp towel lightly over those areas after tanning to take off excess.
jalapena2007 3 years ago
I am so careful now because of it! Thanks for teh tips! :o)
