Why do these Evil Company's only do this to poorer people is it because there easier to con or bully or even easier to bribe them show them your power the power of the Dollar bill and thats it all forgotten about ones you line some dumb bastard who does'nt really understand what an oil spill can do to life.it kills for years if you don't deal with it right away wants its in the water then good bye to anything living in that water.Cancers and a whole host of other things that can really harm you.

SHELL should have teams of people who can clean this oil spill up properly instead of passing the blame on to the country there digging the oil from its uo to them to arrange for big spills were ever they mat acare its down to SHELL OIL to do there Jobs properly instead of paying stupid people to clean there mess up.In Europe they would hand them out to Die for something like this and they'd be made to clean it all up there and then no question about it plus millions or billions in componsations

This also highlights how poor communities just don't have their basic rights protected. BP spills oil in the Gulf of Mexico-all hell breaks out but the fishermen in Nigeria-who cares? It is our interests to care and not to turn our backs.

But i really think finding species that can metabolize this toxic waste (which is extraordinarily rich in energy) will be the only real solution. I know certain funghi can deal with it, and putting some used engine oil somewhere and introducing these funghi leads to a fungal bloom in which most of the oil is destroyed.

Its such a shame. only two strategies i see: collect and burn, or introduce species that can somehow survive this.

Terrible, nightmarish.

Isnt there some kind of fungus that can eat this toxic waste? I dont know, being informed about this topic works my mind, i can only think of biological/chemical solutions. Burn whatever can be burned. Introduce species of plants/fungus that can deal with the situation. Take the soil that is overly polluted, and roast it at red-glowing temperatures, then return it from where it was taken.

its a shame, complete cleanup is impossible.
