  • @XXYZGUY1 The maker of this video never said he/she believes ADD doesn't exist. The video just pointed out there is no test really to dignose ADHD. That's not the same as saying ADD is a myth then. I don't see any opposition towards ADD from the video either. More like opposition towards ADD meds. I tried them all and they only worked partially and the effectiveness quickly got shot by tolerance.

  • Thanks for the video! Reminded me of my old promise to treat my severe adhd (which i of course forgot about! hehe) Exercise is great for practically everything, even to maintain perfect health. And the outdoors sure does so much wonders for my adhd. I don't care what "experts" say about adhd not being true. Experts are often times wrong and nobody can argue with my personal experience, joys and pains from adhd which i've had since i can remember. It can be very frustrating and meditation helps

  • Dude. You've got to be kidding. When you learn how to spell and edit your grammar, maybe then I'll take your advice.

  • people get adhd just by listening to this music:P

  • A small contribution from a psychology student.

Psychological disorders are not diseases. People do not "have" them either, but get categorized according to the symptoms they expose so they can be helped further. Looked at it this way ADHD is arguably "ok" as a diagnosis.

I personally do dislike the medicine culture and would like to see it restricted to real disease and very abnormal cases.

Keep it up, but do make a few separate video's explaining the science behind all this. :)

  • Fantastic video! However, in the four White Witches, you have "dairy" and "milk". Shouldn't one of those be "sugar"?

  • Great information! I have had students in our neighborhood, & my own clients classified with adhd & all you say works. Even simply yoga transformed both grades & behaviors. One thing I found is ok to use is organic milk/yogurt/cheese and whole grains. This is from the Ayurvedic/Yoga point of view. Keep up the great work

  • Your video ROCKS!!! CONGRATULATIONS! One of my daughters has a mild form of ADD, still she needs help.

My wife and I do not believe on covering the symptoms with medications. We'll apply ALL your suggestions ASAP. Thank you man!

  • I also think this video is far fetched. I've tried just a lot of things suggested in the video, and they work...then they quit working...diet, environment, etc...only goes so far. ADHD is often accompanied by others: ODD, depression, torrets, anxiety, etc. It almost always has a partner in crime, so to speak. It's often the partnered disorder that causes the dysfunction.

  • @TheMilitaryLife I think you have a point there. My humble opinion is that It's REALLY WORTH IT TO TRY. It's cheap, free on most cases, does not add more chemicals to your brain and body, and lets you take charge of your life.

I do most of those natural methods just because they resonate with me, and they really work ;-)

  • I'm not sure what the point of this video is. But I will say this, I am a very busy person who suffers from ADHD. I take strattera for it. I've take it for about 5 years now, so I think its a little far fetched to say it just masks the symptoms. I'm not sure what you are trying to prove with this video, but you come off a little ignorant.

  • @Bitinbearabroad fair enough. Everybody has their opinion and experiences. I would be interested in learning more about what you have been through. If you don't mind me asking, what happens when you don't take your meds? What does it help you do? What side effects have you experienced? If you could be at your best without the medications would you still take it?

I can't do anything about the arrogance if you can't give me better feedback. Is it the wording?

    Cheers

    HB

  • @helpmelearnmed I can answer that. You have a scattered mind with ADD and it is almost impossible to stay here now, especially when something is boring. The Straterra will help you stop thinking about The holy grail and your first boyfriend long enough to study your World History class. Some people have more than one thought going on but I have one continuous changing thought. Everyone does it but we do it 80% of the time.

  • @Bitinbearabroad how the hell can u "suffer" from adhd?

  • Very nice video! :D

  • There are nice ways to say things and nasty way to say things. My channel is designed to be a place for learning, rocking out and making friends. If you have a sharp and unforgiving tongue then please stay away. Otherwise, I would very much like to be friends :)

  • @fatturdburger Oh you are right and so many many more things as well. But if I did a brain dump on all the issues, the video would be 100 hours long :P

Agree, omega 3 fatty acids, however you get them.

  • Are the four White Witches, dairy, flour, salt, and sugar? Cuz Milk and dairy are the same I think. Love this vid, it makes sense. Totally. Thanks for posting this vid.

  • @Ellavella thank you for your comment. Yes, sugar was the fourth one. I'll have to reply to @smrowe72 suggestions this week. Many ppl are concerned about the grammatical errors.

Thanks for pointing it out. Cheers

    HB

  • So, uh, in step 6? Either you spelled "trees" wrong, or you think hair is somehow a normal part of being outside.

  • @CassidyPeterson :) will be fixed, thanks for the correction and bringing to my attention

  • This video is terrific. Here are a few suggestions that could increase it's effectiveness:

    1. Slow down the last bullet point on every slide to give folks a bit more time to read and digest the info

    2. Correct the spelling and grammatical errors

    3. Correct the fourth white witch (s/b sugar)

Otherwise, this slide presentation is terrific. Share the improved version with high school health teachers across the nation!

  • @smrowe72 thank you for your encouraging comments. I will get to fixing it. Working in the hospital doesn't give me much time for extra activities, but that is just my excuse. Had a look at your channel and the video there. Boy those guys can sing!

  • This video is terrific. Here are a few suggestions that could increase it's effectiveness:

  • Love the presentation. Got lots of great tips and reminders for my daughter and myself. Please ditch the music though or find more mellow music for it. As an ADHD chickie...the music was making it hard for me to concentrate on the message...just a suggestion :)

  • @XXYZGUY1 ;) GOOD. IN this WORLD IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO BE TOO SERIOUS AND HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR!

  • @XXYZGUY1 part 2-- Now errr can you not get a hint that something may be going on when they now target more and more kids in their fukin schools--which IS an 'enforced education'--checkout John Taylor Gatto about the so-called 'education' system dude.

Think about it--millions of kids FORCED to go to schools and CONFORM. you dont think is social control??!

  • @XXYZGUY1 Who you trying to convince? Me or you? You seem to want to push your views. I am trying to tell you to look at the bigger picture about how psychiatry works. Did you know that masturbation was once considered a 'mental illness'? So was 'homosexuality', and so was running away from a slave master!!

  • You really should of checked through your methods because in "method 8" you quote "Cut out the four white witches" you said stop having dairy , flour, salt and milk ,well im sorry to break it to you any forms of milk are a dairy product, personally these videos are pretty terrible because you may be offending people by the way you put things across, i can back this up by most of your negative comments towards the videos, sort them out because you clearly dont know what you are going on about.

  • @BU3HY I did see that mistake. Was suppose to be sugar, flour, salt and dairy. Thank you for the clarification. Perhaps I should consider modifying the video but sir/madam please don't confuse the message with the presentation.

  • @XXYZGUY1 You've written to Dr Baughman? Good. Please let us know his reply? Thanks

  • @XXYZGUY1 Look fellah. I dont know what you want from me. Please--if you really want to understand why so-called 'ADHD' is a complete and utter con i URGE you and others whove read and watched here to google fred baughman and ADHD. You can read his book online. THEN if yu got questions get in touch with him--he is accessable, and friendly.

  • @zezt OH yes, and one more thing. If you believe that they --the shrinks aren't up to yet more tricks to expand their profits--checklout that they are wanting to create 'mental illness' out of children having tempter tantrums in the classroom. You have to always keep the big picture in mind. It is about 'medicating' for SOCIAL CONTROL!! WHILST making PROFIT.

  • @XXYZGUY1 Have you ever received actual medical evidence--as in a form of some test--that you have what they are calling ADHD? I can bet you haven't cause there aint one, because it is a hoax. We are not talking about epilepsy--these boxes are too limited to get too deep. Look--IF you wanna believe this con do so, but a con it remains. Checkout Dr Fred Baughman

  • To say you can 'treat' 'ADHD' without meds is implicilty and explicity stating that such a condiction called attention deficit hyperactivity disorder actually is a real condition, and there is no actual medical evidence which proves that.

  • @zezt

i disagree with the term adhd to describe any human being

    especially the word:disorder!

if the medical community want to go around&label people wrong..then lets label the medical establishment with dis ordering life to such a degree that the whole world automatically becomes a disorder, just not people being the disorder!

people need to understand that a lack of sufficient hormones in some peoples bodies, makes doctors believe they have adhd when in fact its mostly hormonal/nutrition issues

  • @peaceandparty you've got it. I have to say even as a doctor it shocks me how intelligent people are not able to see the silliness in labels that we give. I mean take for example heart disease.

That is increasing at a stagerring rate, the problem is obviously dietary and toxicity in the world that is increasing at even faster rates than we have ever seen in history.

Instead of cutting the roots of the problem, we use medications, statins, aspirin and other fantastic concoctions.

  • @helpmelearnmed

    thanks for the reply

i will add you to my small book of intelligent ,becoming wise doctors.....

i have to admit ,its a small book

    thank you for your efforts

    :)

    lol

  • @zezt :) nicely said. 500 characters just isn't enough to state the obvious sometimes. Thank you for your enthusiastic reply.

  • @zezt maybe, but in the public eye it is now, and if we don't want kids being drugged for a nonexistent condition then you have to appeal to the people that believe it's a real thing.

  • @XXYZGUY1 Hi, that is a very good question. It is true that there is the inattentive subtype.

When you talk about the ADD, it is important to note that they don't have petit mal seizures. If they did then the diagnosis is different completely.

What some Harvard masters students have done is taken EEG and comprehensively monitor the brain of children with mental retardation or aspergers or ADD. The amazing thing is that they did find some who were having seizure like activity.

  • @helpmelearnmed

    hi

    in this world

there are so many factors to think about when thinking of the symptoms of supposed adhd

how can people concentrate on anything when advertisements seep into our brains

ads are polluting our minds and making all of us think of irrelevant pieces of info

many brains can only take in so much info at a time

losing memory, short term memory or what have you is a human thing, its not a disorder!

there are too many "disorders" invented

&too many people suffer with wording

  • Hello - you didn't mention DMAE - it's wonderful for those who have the symptoms of ADHD. Plus remove artificial colours, artificial sweeteners, processed foods, sugary stuff, MSG etc.

My suggestions + yours will remove ADHD for good. I know, I've worked with those to get the label removed. ADHD is not an illness, it is a modern stress issue and no one needs to have it.

  • @ILOVE2FeelGOOD Couldn't agree more. There is SOOOO much more that I haven't touched on. It really is a laerning progression.

Telling people everything that can be wrong would be a great challenge to many.

I do appreciate you mentioning those deadly preservatives.

Short term wise most of us can cope but the effects long term...deadly.

MSG for example excites the brain at supranomral levels and causes early cell death.

    Nasty thing...

  • hmmm... i wonder if this video is biased or not... and adhd is pretty much proven

  • @threadysparrow I love this comment. Is the video bias? Absolutely. If you have an opinion you are biased.

Do I believe ADHD exist as an entity?

    Yes!

Do I think it is a disorder?

    No.

Can we harness the gifts inherent in this 'condition'.

    Heck yeah!

Proven is an interesting word, belief would be much more appropriate.

If you believe it is, it is. If you believe it exist then it does. What other people say is irrelevant, we all filter our world through our own lenses.

  • @Thanx1982 Your point is noted.

I do have a rebutal. The tests for reaction time, compulsiveness etc are sensitive for conditions where disinhibition is prevalent. This means that it is not specific, you can have some form of inattention and that is picked up by the test, doesnt tell you what the underlying cause it.

However, even after saying that whatever the cause, a balanced nutritional program tailored for the individual will do wonders for their attention.

  • its about time that someone does a video like this to tell the medical establishment to truly fuck themselves with numbing drugs ,with their obvious plan of numbing creative peoples brains so that we all just obey some christian fundamentalist...sorry-my emotions have taken over

i dont agree with adhd being a disorder

the world is disordered not people

  • @peaceandparty Hi there, I cannot agree more. However with our current health climate 'being yourself' is a crime and there is very little attention paid to food.

The amazing contradiction in medical thinking is that 'food is good enough to keep us alive but is not good enough to heal us from disease'

I feel compelled to make this more publicly known.

    Thanks for your support

  • Excellent presentation and VERY true!!! My youngest of four was diagnosed several times with ADHD and we finally took him off Ritalin after five years and redirected his attention and now he's an ace mechanic and stopped all his restless nights and tooth grinding. He has done SO much better off the meds and is very energetic and creative something he lost while taking them. Many Thumbs Up!!! It's a matter of helping them find something to retain their interest levels that they really enjoy.

  • @1softkiss You've got it. Love your story, thanks for sharing.

At the end of the day, it is about being true to yourself nutritionally, emotionally, intellectually and in all other aspects.

Congratulations on getting him off meds.

Just to let you know, there has been studies that show meds wear off over time. So best you got him out sooner rather than later. Great effort

  • @helpmelearnmed Thank You !!! I'm a retired nurse of 23 years after rear ended by a truck and was told in 1998 I would live in a wheel chair after 2003 from my spine damage and I stopped taking the pain medication after three years and started exercising and eating healthier foods and I do still have pain and restrictions, but at least my mind is clear. People are just too fast to pass out a cure for everything now days.

  • You are very kind trying to help people aknowledge important facts. 5***** great informativ video.

  • @janeismyname100 Thank you very much for the comment. Please spread the word and get the video out, more people need to know.

    Cheers

    HB

  • Great video :)

  • @Rockguitarnow Thank you for your kind words
