Best thing that came out of either Icelandic Odyssey release. I was pretty disappointed with a lot of the material on them, but this is one of the best Solefald songs ever. I wonder what they'll do next.

No, I didn't forget Ulver. I just don't think they are relevant. They do indeed have a good demo and an album called "Nattens madrigal". Excellent "black metal" album.

The album you are reffering to is strictly an accoustic one, if my memory serves me well. And the name of it is "kveldssanger" (again if my memory serves me well)

VI is VERY LIKE Arcturus. Their singer tries hard to sound like Garm, but it's a cool band.

I recommend the lastest Ihsahn album, After. Very Avantgarde.

Age of Silence seems to be the only band I can think of that has some sound similarities, but check out bands like Mirrorthrone, Ram-Zet, Unexpect, Diablo Swing Orchestra, Lux Occulta, In the Woods... just to mention a few that some other people haven't mentioned before.
