If anyone needs an explanation why the F-22/PAK FA/J-20 are all similar in profile, it has a lot to do with aerodynamics. Quite simply, there is an optimal form in aerodynamics for each type of aircraft. This is why, for example, Boeing 700 series are so similar in shape, because Boeing found the ideal shape for a passenger airliner. What the F-22 presented was the optimal shape for a high performance, high speed stealth design. It's not necessarily coincidence, more like mutual discovery.

I agree with the film-maker that all fifth generation aircraft look similar, and I also agree that they are different. If you look at a PAK FA and a Su 27, you will see that one came fom the other, same as with the F22 and F15, or the F35 and the F16.

All stealthy planes with their angled surfaces and hidden engines look alike. But it's pretty obvious the T-50 is a very different plane to YF-23, F-22 and F-35.

Yeah they all look the same, because they belong to a family of aircraft called stealth. They only differ performances. weapons load and the country who made them.
