It's ironic seeing that Miami Heat logo next to Rose's name, there was some speculation that the Bulls would select Michael Beasley and the Heat would get Rose, I remember Pat Riley and the Heat filing a complaint against the league saying the draft was fixed (Bulls had a 1.7 percent chance of winning). Hey guys, I’m trying to increase my vertical leap by doing the training program over at snipurl[dot]com/nbatraining - and gained like 8-10 inches so far but I’m still a bit away from dunking the ball. The NCAA found that Rose "probably did not write the questioned hand printing or cursive writing on the exam form". Further, when his test score was challenged, Rose ignored correspondence from the NCAA and made no attempt to validate his score". He wanted his one year so he could go to the NBA, Rose is a cheater, and the reflection Memphis is they recruit marginally academic players who cheat.

Yeah, actually he did need to go to college because the NBA requires one year straight out of high school. So he had to go, and he's so stupid he had to get somebody to take his test for him. NBA needs to change the rule so dumbasses like him who can't do anything except play basketball can go straight to the NBA. Yeah he's got it made until his knees give out(already has tendinitis) and he's out of money in his 30's with no brain and no skills besides the ones he cant use anymore..

You haven't mentioned Coach Calipari or placed any blame on the university of memphis. I could swear derrick was the young, impressionable youth. If he's a cheater, he's a reflection of everything wrong with college athletics.

I may not have mentioned Calipari on this video, but I did on others. Calipari is dirty, has always taken marginal players, like Robert Dozier, who Georgia turned down because of shady test scores. My take is that Rose ignored NCAA inquiries, and Calipari told him to, saying "You wont be here next year, I might not either. Let's win some games, go deep in the tournament, you go to the NBA and I'l get another raise or a better job. Fuck Memphis."

And you're exactly right about it being a reflection on college athletics. Dirtballs like Calipari would be fucked if athletically talented morons like Rose werent forced by the NBA to go to college for a year. It's a joke, a bad and sad one, that kids who dont belong in school and dont want to be there have to cheat their way into college, often with the help of "supporters" who just want to leach off off their NBA success.

Rose was headed to illinois...until memphis gave him a bag. Everybody involved with chicago high school athletics knows that.
Derrick is a good kid. Humble, talented, softspoken. Also, dumb as a bag of rocks.
Lets question why a kid like rose had to take money to attend memphis ?
Even though he'll sell 10's of thousands of tickets. Billion dollar industry in the pockets of ppl who dont even play the game..smh.

I won't lie that was my first assumption. (racism) But im just as opposed to cheating as anyone else. Wrong is wrong, and i was raised with morals. That being said, Rose is the best guard since isiah thomas to come from chicago.
He's from englewood probably the worst neighborhood in arguably the worst city in this country. His knees are bum already as you've mentioned. With all that adversity he faced, he still managed to be a #1 DP. As a 23 yr old black male from chicago, hes an inspiration

to me. Nobody is a saint. If he cheated or made an error, at least he errored on the side of positivity. His error could've been an armed robbery (brandon monroe), or weapons charges ( maurice clarett). Ultimately, he just wanted to play ball. Some of us never had, tutors or mentors. Nor after school programs. Ball was all we had. Ball or the streets. So i respect him for where he came from, and what he has become. Trust me, he didn't have alot of help. I thnk you. Youre opinions are refreshing.

Maybe for you it's allabout money and materialism. Some people actually want to have a career that lasts longer than 10-12 years and provides something beyond money for themselves. . Believe it or not, some people, unlike Rose, like to do it honestly. All African people should stop playing sports? Why is that, especially if like Rose, they're not capable of doing anything else?
