Pay off all the people who live there, get it back up with the original intention in place; club, live venue, art space, theatre. cafe, bar....It was a crime such an influential space was taken down. And, purely cynically, it would be a tourist attraction- although you would want tourists to experience a real Hac version as opposed to a retro one..and as for 32 longyeras...he's right; all clubs have knobs, all have bad days.

One time in particular was the finals of Tony Wilson's Battle of the Bands'. We actually won!!! I recall on that evening The Happy Mondays came last.
My Mum (age 68) mentioned a few months ago, that she'd been to The Hacienda - I said " no way!! You must be mistaken." But she insisted. I had totally forgotten that she was in the audience at the Battle of the Bands event.
I was there at it's beginning ..... & for many years after ....saw Madonna when she was a nobody .... am glad to not have been there at the end RIP. Long live Manchester

The Hacienda has already been rebuilt. The entire city centre has become the Hacienda. Now that's what you call a legacy.
Shame about the yuppie flats mocking the name though.
