wondering how you can also play these jamtracks on the spot i know the notes are in the key but when you go higher on the fret board and pick single notes how do you find those.
@flubbablubba123 A is the correct key if you're playing in 2nd position (root is 2 draw) and then you'll be playing the harp in the key of E. Check Adam Gussow ('kudzurunner') on youtube for the best blues harp instruction you'll ever get.
For the life of me I just cannot get thea little trick lick you do with the third fret E string when you are doing the 12 bar blues bit, well thats the best way I can describe it as I don't get to play that often.
Jamming with you is a blast!!! Been practicing scales for years and still could not solo. Didn't know what they were for. Til now. lol! Serious...Keep up the killer vids!!!
When you play your solo back and it sounds like shit, I guarantee you don't have enough spacing between notes. In blues the not playing is as important as the playing
@lonewolf1234512345 I always rush the blues. I knew I knew the scales better than that. Read your comment, chilled out a bit, and sounded better, thanks.
hell yeah, ive been playing guitar for 13 years, never had a lesson, but jammin with your videos has started to get me out of my "rut." I felt like everytime i picked up the ax, i was playin the same stuff and couldnt break through it, seems to happen every year or two - well im starting to progress my playing again. Thank you.
love the blues / been trying to play since i was 10 that was 47 years ago / still learning // you are best teacher ive ever saw // just wanted to say thanks // please keep it going //thanks dale
As an intermediate-ish player I was feeling very stagnant in my progression and actually put the guitar down for awhile out of frustration. I have been playing again now for a few months and your lessons and jam tracks on here have really helped open up more of the fret board to me and have encouraged me to continue learning and practicing. Can't tell you how much I appreciate the time you take to help those of us who want to be able to express themselves through music. Thank you Marty!
ok, for the very first time...after watching at least 100 of your vids....you've made me MAD...if not outright pissed. Cause I want to know how to play THIS. I guess I should just calm down and try to find the vid where you show how point by point. Thanks again for all the great work you do.
@tashman8 Aye I think I hit a total of like 3 notes... Stuttered a wee bit then fell silent until the music started again. What I can I say? I'm a baby musically. I still need a cradle to support me.
@tashman8 hahahhahaha not me, i really thought i would, but i pulled it off, so thumbs down i guess, i wont do it but, one peron out of 40 so far got it right...... some beers and real blues will do that to a man....... make him complete. his blues str8 from the heart

this is verry genius to play a slow jam track after an e tuned scale lesson i went right into it feeling like a real bleus musician just jamming on the fly. I LOVED IT.
is it just me or does marty's guitar sound like joe walsh's talk-box at 4:48 when he hits that blues third twice. Its just the buzzing, but I fuckn love it!
Cool, Marty. Loving the progress I'm making. I just watched and learned that E run from E on the bass E to E on the 12th fret of the treble E and adding the pent on top of that. So, I've been playing it over this (above) jam with you. Thanks.
Marty love the way you teach seams you have something that many others dont and its the gift of teaching and has i have been only playing 9 months to watch your methods is very insperational for at 49 now its a little harder to learn but your make it easier thankyou :) Peter

@hobodeath GOOGLE: 1, 4, 5 progression. It will show the What KEY (the KEY of the song) and 4th and fith.
Another def. of Key is that most Keys have sharps/ flats(except for C). To play the scale in a certain KEY you need to know where the sharps and flats go in the scale. This concept is better to see on a piano(when to play the black keys) E major is a major scale based on E, with the pitches E, F#, G#, A, B, C#, and D#. Its key signature has four sharps(Play the black keys for the sharps)
This really goes along well with what you taught in the blues domination cd's expands of some of the things you showed us in there. its gonna be fun trying to figure out some of this stuff... thanks mary
You make people feel your guitar playing while enjoying your showmanship. The world is a better place with people like you showing us how to play while giving us the joy of music again. Thanks!!!
@snowmiser18 Buy the blues domination package.. It starts with the basic 12 bar blues to some of the advanced stuff he plays towards the middle and end.. Land of A7!

Probably yes, there are only really 3 chords in this whole track, if you learn a few riffs and different ways of playing the chords and practice it all building up your "blues vocabulary" as I like to call it, you'll be playing just like that, making it all up as you go along in no time.
