Her Bday is 5/24/45, & the promises may relate to
the two 2 wk trips Priscilla made in 62 at age 17 when both had been dating others for 3 years. 1st TRIP was in summer 62 in CA with an a trip to Vegas, Anita Wood moved out of GL in Aug 62 after hearing Elvis trying to decide between her & Priscilla, & 2nd trip was to Graceland at Christmas. Priscilla described these 62 trips as very sexual with them "almost" doing it when she did a strip up the stairs. Elvis met Ann just a few months after Priscilla moved in & he had to make those promises.
This info all came from Guralnick's "Careless Love" which is the 2nd half of his two part bio on Elvis & "Elvis Day by Day" which is a compilation of all the hard evidence like school records, plane tickets, etc. after Guralnicks 12 yrs of research & use of the archives. Plus Priscilla's book & movie Elvis & Me. The movie is particularly denigrating to Elvis.
Some promise he made to Priscilla, not to mention her father was breathing down his neck.
Think about what it would have looked like if everyone knew Priscilla was as young as she was and dating Elvis and he wasn't gonna' marry her. I still think and always will, that he was trapped into that. I know he loved her to an extent, but I think he would've been happier with Ann.

She made original claims she was a "tech" virgin bride when they married. In other words they did everything, but the final sex act. She later refuted those claims saying "Of course we were having sex," but referring to when she was 18 and moved to Graceland--she moved in March 1963 & with a 5/24/45 Bday she was almost 18. It is obvious why she made those claims.
She made those claims because people can't get facts straight and so people couldn't claim Elvis had to marry her. I was speculating they MAY have done it on one of her visits when she was 17 which would explain why Elvis HAD to make promises to marry her some day which is what you were asking about LilElvis1989.
The body language and facial expressions between Elvis and Ann Margret says all there is to say. It is fun and sexy, but with a deep blending together and a "giving" to each other even in formal shots.
Elvis didn't leave Priscilla for Ann because he had to make promises to marry Priscilla when she moved into Graceland in March 63. There are different stories behind that, but it wasn't because Elvis had sex with Priscilla when she was 14 or her parents would not have waited 3 yrs. to act. Elvis met, had an affair with, and fell in love with Ann just a few months after Priscilla moved in, & Elvis had made those promises. He was with Ann a lot for over a year, & Priscilla knew about Ann, but choose to stay. I think Elvis love Priscilla in an idealized way, but was IN love with Ann. All Ann has said is "Elvis had promises to keep."
NO I said THEY DID NOT have sex when she was 14, but if you look at her movie she wanted to. Why are you saying I said something I did NOT say? It is these false accusations that made Priscilla make the original claims they did not do it before marriage because it is clear people can't read or interpret anything correctly. There have always been people who have made those accusations, but it is clear that did NOT happen since Priscilla did NOT move in for 3 years after Elvis left Germany.
Ann Margret was probably the most loyal LADY Elvis had in his life. Neither was married when they had their affair, but Priscilla at age 18 had moved into Graceland a few months before he met Ann and Elvis had to make promises to marry her some day as a condition. Ann did not know about Priscilla when she began her affair with Elvis. All she would say later was he had "promises to keep" If Ann had not been so loyal to her husband once she married, Elvis would have had her back!

No,it was not acting, it was the real thing between them. Everyone knew it was special with Ann from the beginning because Elvis picked her up for dates breaking his long standing rule the women were brought to him. Plus the bunch of girls always around were gone-it was one on one. They were reserved when they met, but they both knew what was going to happen when they got to know each other because an electric current went straight trough them that would become a FORCE they couldn't control!
There was always love between Elvis and Ann Margret, and before Elvis was to announce Priscilla's pregnancy in '67, he came to Ann and told her just how he still felt about her, and always would. It was about this time in Priscilla's book that Elvis asked her for a trial separation which didn't happen. After his legal separation in '72. he tried to get Ann back a number of times, but they had both married in '67, and Ann was still married and loyal so Elvis lost her.

Repeating the main points: Elvis and Priscilla did NOT have sex when she was 14. If they had her parents would have acted then. She made original claims she was a "tech" virgin bride when they married. In other words they did everything, but the final sex act. She later refuted those claims saying "Of course we were having sex," but referring to when she was 18 and moved to Graceland--she moved in March 1963 & with a 5/24/45 Bday she was almost 18. It is obvious why she made those claims.

She made those claims because people can't get facts straight and so people couldn't claim Elvis had to marry her. I was speculating they MAY have done it on one of her visits when she was 17 which would explain why Elvis HAD to make promises to marry her some day which is what you were asking about LilElvis1989.

Elvis didn't leave Priscilla for Ann because he had to make promises to marry Priscilla when she moved into Graceland in March 63. There are different stories behind that, but it wasn't because Elvis had sex with Priscilla when she was 14 or her parents would not have waited 3 yrs. to act. It is possible it was related to something that happened on two brief visits Priscilla made in 62 when she was 17. Elvis hadn't called Pris in 6 months, and Anita Wood was living at Graceland and

NO I said THEY DID NOT have sex when she was 14, but if you look at her movie she wanted to. Why are you saying I said something I did NOT say? It is these false accusations that made Priscilla make the original claims they did not do it before marriage because it is clear people can't read or interpret anything correctly. There have always been people who have made those accusations, but it is clear that did NOT happen since Priscilla did NOT move in for 3 years after Elvis left Germany.

Ann Margret was probably the most loyal LADY Elvis had in his life. Neither was married when they had their affair, but Priscilla at age 18 had moved into Graceland a few months before he met Ann and Elvis had to make promises to marry her some day as a condition. Ann did not know about Priscilla when she began her affair with Elvis. All she would say later was he had "promises to keep" If Ann had not been so loyal to her husband once she married, Elvis would have had her back!

alhenry100 I see you have" knowing Elvis " as a friend.Last time I saw knowing Elvis they were an Ann Margret supporter, but they do tend to change to fit the situation taking off posts after they have served the purpose of the moment!! I haven't taken on friends for now because of a privacy issue, but have gotten plenty of offers which I appreciate.

No,it was not acting, it was the real thing between them. Everyone knew it was special with Ann from the beginning because Elvis picked her up for dates breaking his long standing rule the women were brought to him. Plus the bunch of girls always around were gone-it was one on one. They were reserved when they met, but they both knew what was going to happen when they got to know each other because an electric current went straight trough them that would become a FORCE they couldn't control!

There was always love between Elvis and Ann Margret, and before Elvis was to announce Priscilla's pregnancy in '67, he came to Ann and told her just how he still felt about her, and always would. It was about this time in Priscilla's book that Elvis asked her for a trial separation which didn't happen. After his legal separation in '72. he tried to get Ann back a number of times, but they had both married in '67, and Ann was still married and loyal so Elvis lost her.

molliech You can also turn that around, and say Elvis loved Ann Margret, and he loved Priscilla, the image of the "good girl" and ideal he had put on a pedestal The first real mature love Elvis experienced in my opinion was with Ann Margret when he was 28. With Priscilla they had been apart for most of 3 years before she moved to Graceland which allowed only the false image to be loved for both of them!
