@bicnarok Hi - thanks for your post. It runs on 8 AA cells but they can be replaced with a mains power unit that delivers 12V DC at about 1.2amps. The cable to connect the mains PSU will need to terminate in a PP3 snap-on type connector. Hope this helps. KR A&NC
@AstronomyAndNatureTV Thanks for the info, this really is an impressive bit of kit. With it being so cold now and seeing as the stars are best viewed in winter this could cause certain batteries to die after a short period. Can it also be manually moved with damaging the motor if this were to happen?

about the focuser,i have a meade 6 inch refractor also.the focuser not so good.i replaced it with a moon lite focuser which is excellent.great vids
