Things werent 'rushed' or 'mechanically separated' back in the times. This shit sounds like a telephone advertisement for toothpaste, or something! It just isn't right. Live in the day, seize the day! It just isn't the same as the 70's... Sorry... My opinion, but a righteous one! Ya'll have a good, ......Whatever in the hell that you're doing at the moment!........;)~
Do people just NOT read the caption or the fucking Title?? Don't comment and say it's Robin Trower.. We Know.. or this is a "Fail" attempt at the song... Wtf.. really? Read and shut your face before you say stupid shit that makes You look like an idiot. You type dumb shit bc you wuna be heard. That.. is a "Fail"
Man; I don't know what I just heard; but that was the saddest attempt at a Robin Trower classic. If that was really Metallica; then they need to stick to their speed metal and leave Psychedelic Blues to the Masters like Trower, Marino and Hendrix. Nothing against Metallica but this is out of their realm.
@zenjim007 how is this a fail? If anything, in the long run, they've at least inspired a few ppl to find out who did the original lick. Whats so wrong about that? Seriously, what was so wrong about it?
@Fishboy228 I mean, i can see something like Madonna's American Pie, where she could have just left it alone. But we're the bends out of tune? did they cover the spirit of the original?
@Fishboy228 Because it is just sad awful bad. Robin doesn't need any help or promotion from the likes of Metallica. Robin was already a legend long before anyone ever heard of Metallica. No one is going to be inspired by a trashing of a great song or hearing a cheap imitation. Like I said before, Mettalica should stick to what they normally do; speed chops and so on. Robins music speaks well on its own.
for just a jam,no serious covering.its ok,nothing like trower....niether was opeth.but I give them credit....they must have liked robin trower.ha,who doesnt,if you had the skill to attempt it you would to.give it up for metallica!yea! haha Im just about sick of that band metallica, but I found a liking in this.
Of course it sounds like a garage band...It' a ghost track on Garage inc. Genius. Half of you are clueless, the other half should've been shot in the sheets. You can fight amongst yourselves who fits in what category.
Whoever said the bass player should keep his day job made me almost piss myself with laughter!! Yeah....I must be getting old because I actually listen to music beyond the distortion. Metallica still rocks.
What the F^^@k was that? had to have been a metalllica original because it was definitely not trower. and who evers playing bass needs to get his day job back

Yes, Bridge of Sighs is a original of Robin Trower . As for this jam by Metallica (Bridge of Sighs) it sounds like a garage band

It is Robin Trower, you just can't tell by how badly they botched this song.

@doublestackdude It's Jason Newsted, genius. It was just a jam anyway. Post a flawless bass performance of this song or shut up.
