i had the problem where it was trying to eject the game out n make the noise but it wont n then i tried ur method n somehow it worked..thanks a looot. i was using my borthers ps3 n my game got stuck in -_- n i didnt want him to find out. i got one note...those who have newer ps3 without the switch key in the back...unplug ur ps3 n hold the eject button n then plug the wire cord in...
Guys, i have really bad news! Sony is on the downside and its believable that the production will be closed! FOREVER!!! It means there will be no new PlayStation, no televisions, nothing will be from that production anymore! I am really sorry about that. :((((
if u ever have a problem with ur ps3 with the cd not comming out and u see the black things folded in a werid way, just simply take off the face plate and top cover and then the cd drive is right there and then simply peal off the black fuzzy things and the on the top cover behind the sivler trim were the opening were the cd goes theres this black plastic trim that goes around the opening u can simply take off and then ur cd will go through the drive without being blocked

its easy to get the disc out. Turn the system off at the back on the main power switch, hold your finger on the eject button and then turn the system back on using main switch on back. This kicks in the auto eject and your disk will come out, the fan might make a loud noise but this is fine, as soon as you get your disk out turn the console off again. Hope this helps
@nlck1597 This is exactly what happened to mine. If you PS3 is still under warranty call Sony and get the to replace it for you. If its not under warranty you can do the "fan test" which force ejects the disk - just search on youtube for "PS3 eject disk" . If that doesnt work, you might have to take it apart to get the disk out. Let me know how you get on.@nlck1597

@kingwoop Sounds like you havent got the "teeth" of the bluray drive alligned correctly. They need to be in the correct position to pick up the disk
