river is clearly an amazing man & photographer. just a personal PA to anyone reading: do not be afraid to go to an ER, to a hospital, to the doctor, etc. i have had 6 surgeries in 20 months (3 were SRS, 3 were not) & have another non-SRS in a few months. i have always been treated with dignity & respect. it is how you carry yourself & treat others that dictates how you will be treated. they may not understand, but it is their job to treat all patients with the best care. take care of yourselves!
Although I'm not trans, I found River's story very courageous and inspiring. He seems like an amazing man.
