$400 for peace of mind. I wouldn't want to stake the lives of my family and I on some cheapo mod and flashlight that I got at Walmart. People blow much more on stupid shit like tricked out rims. We're talking about protecting LIVES here. Small price to pay IMO.
@supercoupe86 Seems like a lot until you see the build quality. I'm sure you could get by with a lower priced light but Surefire is top of the line. As stated by oracleoracle1911 when lives are on the line it takes the sting out of the price tag.
thanks for the vid. i am looking to add a surefire light and a laser sight to my 870. will i need to buy the x400 (and does it work on shotguns) or can i attach a laser to something like this? if i can, does it keep zero??
My Mossberg 500 was $329, the Surefire Shotgun Light on their website is $360 :( I love the way it works ... but I refuse to pay more for a light than the gun it's going on
I like this lighting system but its not really friendly for larger hand users, it tends to hit back. If you have the cash and smaller hands go for it!
I can't see spending a lot of money on a wire stripper.. but if it was something I used every day I might want to get a very well made long lasting model..
Really nice light; it's a shame they don't make one for the Mossberg 930.

@supercoupe86 Yes. But it's super cool. And also really well made. Still makes my wallet sad.

I have one of these, the LED version on my 870, love it so much, as I do all my surefire gear.

+1 I have one of these and it is great, worth every penny (EBAY) gets it a little cheaper.

It'd be great to own one of these, but I can't see spending just about as much money on a LIGHT than the actual shotgun.

So, because of the pressure switch, is it hard to pump the gun without turning the light on if the light isn't locked off?

good point, that can be an issue for some people, it depends how you hold the front grip
