this is called NET SHOT not a DROP SHOT, that at first. and also you play it badly with your feet. notice a game of peter gade or viktor axelsen, how they play this. when you hit a shuttle by the net, you go bouncing back from the right foot, right? and they use another footwork, the technique pushing forward also the left foot, which use as a help to move backwards, the they switch legs, then the right foot back, and only then the left foot back.

You always need to do a split drop and a recovery jump nobody plays the same shot 4 times in a row so atleast make it slightly realistic so if somebody does a different shot you won't look like a retard other than that its good that your trying to teach people btw that was a net shot not a drop shot a drop shot is an overarm shott in which the shuttle drops. :D

The difference between net and drop shots is that a drop shot is intercepted much faster so its higher, a net shot is an under-arm hit which is a couple of centimetres above the net.

Since this video is about footwork.

Make sure that when you lunge, you always point your toe outward (and land heel first). In the lesson, you toe is inwards (i.e. at 36s), this is not good for your ankle and knee, especially on a full speed lunge.

However, in the actual demo your foot work is good.
