  • 0:51 Why not knight takes a5? Because then, if rook takes a5, then bishop takes f2 check, king takes f2, rook takes rook on a5 gaining a tempo because white has to defend the bishop, plus a strong attack on white king which has moved and cannot castle.

  • At 3:11 g7 pawn can take out f6 knight...

  • @TheMagicStool, there is double check and king must retreat.

  • @farenheit466 Ok my screen is craked a bit and didn't see the second bishop

  • black was overly greedy

  • Great video on the decline line

  • 0:39 why knight didnt take b4?

  • @kmlcllgl Black would loose e5 pawn

  • @MatoJelic oh thanks didnt see that. just a noob here.. but thanks for quick reply. mato you are great, already subscribed. Keep up the vids!!

  • 0:25 why didnot bishop C5 take B4?

  • @gentlemantaste check videos of evan's gambit accepted so you'll see the main lines after that move

  • @gentlemantaste Maybe becouse blacks doesnt want to leave a7-g1 diagonal. Also several lines of evans gambit accepted gives to white nice options and unstoppable attack. If You want to learn more about opennings You can find great videos here (on YT).

  • it seems like the best move is always the most forcing move. pretty obvious what the continuation was. black was being very optimistic in his appraisal

  • Great vid, Mato!
