Tekken isn't a city, that's how the movie puts it. I've been playing the series since the first game. The movie is very inaccurate with the storyline, I'd rather watch the animated movie, even though it's on the events of the 1st game, it's better than live action movie if you ask me.

But the problem is for some reason Future shop is having problems selling them, they just recently came here to canada, and i'm not really sure why, but they don't scan right. Oh well, I might buy the new one coming out though actually, if I get the money.

tekken is based on these 3 characters jin kazama kazuya mishima and heihachi mishima if you played the games you would know that the story line is based on them 3 and paul story line is based on being the greatest fighter and michelle is just old and didnt she die or get killed? and king really dont have a story till marduk kills his teacher armor king so maybe thats why there not in the movie

Between Tekken and Spyro when released in the theaters, I reckon the Spyro movie would be easier to make than Tekken. The reason why? Tekken possesses a really large cast that's gonna be hard to fill in. Spyro just needs a nice handful to get the story going.
As for critical and financial receptions, we will have to wait and see. Tekken seems to be the film likely to wow people though, but we will still have to find out. Spryo's release date is still unknown.

They're not done with the casting still. if characters never been played by anyone in the US is gonna be there, Miguel (Tekken 6), their more likely to put the main old ones in the movie.
The guy playing law is cung le a 22-0 kick boxer who has taken to mma and is 6-0. He most recently broke frank shamrocks arm with a kick. Trust me even if cung le can't act he can fight. So seeing this movie for the fight scene alone would be worth it. Roger Huerta a lightweight ufc fighter is supposed to be in it too so that say alot about how the fighting should be. Also from what pics I've seen the actors builds look alot like the build of middle or welterweight fighters.
ye it's ashame they've left out long running characters, but then again the whole tekken series has always been about the mishima bloodline. i can see the characters most related to there storyline are going to be used, although i've gotta feeling the likes of yoshimitsu, paul and king will appear in the movie maybe as camio roles just like there breif appearances in the tekken anime.
The casting for the Tekken movie was done in excellent fashion, plus with alot of real marital art talent coming from the actors. I believe the people working the film knows the material, despite a few favorites left out like Paul & King( Michelle is suppose to be in the movie being played by Holly Marie Combs according to wikipedia, but I don't think that one is actually confirmed), but aleast most of them are in the movie, just like with X-Men. I believe it's going to work and will please.

paul and king are not main characters...kazuya is the main character, paul and king are like everyone else just ppl for kazuya to beat up to get to heihachi...jins story is most important. everyone else will probably be in it but wont have big parts, they'll get a fight scene and thats that...the story is the mishimas. sure we'd love to see them but everyone else has small stories, some have no importance at all...like paul...thats why he got no real air time in the anime, they were there tho.
michelle and paul are in it, and if you cant find there name, its doesnt mean they wont be in it. its still in post production so they can always add them in if they feel its nessecary

I think the reason for some of the characters not being in the movie is going to be due to the story. Think of how many characters there are in Tekken that we would love to see a movie baised on. I'm thinking due to time they have picked the ones they felt would mold well together. I do however think that the other characters will be in the movie somehow.. weather it be king on a tv set in the background wrestling.. to passin Paul on his motocycle on the road. Can't wait! Missing characters? I don't mind seeing them in a sequel if that means doing them right and making them important to the story. I like cameos and hints but they need to be done in a way that it doesnt weigh down what the next film will do with them. I think X-men had a problem with over cameoing people and then redoing them later on.
I haven't played Tekken so I don't anything about it except for two characters. Yoshimitsu and Heihachi. This is because of there use in the Soulcalibur series. Due to this I can't say much. I'll just have to wait and see how this movie turns out.

They're not done with the casting still. if characters never been played by anyone in the US is gonna be there, Miguel (Tekken 6), their more likely to put the main old ones in the movie.

The guy playing law is cung le a 22-0 kick boxer who has taken to mma and is 6-0. He most recently broke frank shamrocks arm with a kick. Trust me even if cung le can't act he can fight. So seeing this movie for the fight scene alone would be worth it. Roger Huerta a lightweight ufc fighter is supposed to be in it too so that say alot about how the fighting should be. Also from what pics I've seen the actors builds look alot like the build of middle or welterweight fighters.

ye it's ashame they've left out long running characters, but then again the whole tekken series has always been about the mishima bloodline. i can see the characters most related to there storyline are going to be used, although i've gotta feeling the likes of yoshimitsu, paul and king will appear in the movie maybe as camio roles just like there breif appearances in the tekken anime.

The casting for the Tekken movie was done in excellent fashion, plus with alot of real marital art talent coming from the actors. I believe the people working the film knows the material, despite a few favorites left out like Paul & King( Michelle is suppose to be in the movie being played by Holly Marie Combs according to wikipedia, but I don't think that one is actually confirmed), but aleast most of them are in the movie, just like with X-Men. I believe it's going to work and will please.

My concern is that it is a movie based on a fighting game.
Examples:
Street Fighter- Awful. Just awful.
Mortal Kombat: The first one was not really very good and the less said about Annialation the better.

im not surprised that king isnt in the movie because he's had the soul of three other fighters. the king we see now in tekken6 isnt the original king from tekken one, thats what im guessing he isnt in it. as for paul, all he ever wanted to do is kick kuma and kazuyas ass, but i still wish he was in it.

paul and king are not main characters...kazuya is the main character, paul and king are like everyone else just ppl for kazuya to beat up to get to heihachi...jins story is most important. everyone else will probably be in it but wont have big parts, they'll get a fight scene and thats that...the story is the mishimas. sure we'd love to see them but everyone else has small stories, some have no importance at all...like paul...thats why he got no real air time in the anime, they were there tho.

Michelle Chang is gonna b in the film, but come on! No Paul, King or Hwoarang? I'd rather c these 3 characters instead of the characters that have been in the last 2-3 Tekken games. And the film should have been based on Tekken 2 and having the main story in Tekken 1 as flashbacks.

I think the reason for some of the characters not being in the movie is going to be due to the story. Think of how many characters there are in Tekken that we would love to see a movie baised on. I'm thinking due to time they have picked the ones they felt would mold well together. I do however think that the other characters will be in the movie somehow.. weather it be king on a tv set in the background wrestling.. to passin Paul on his motocycle on the road. Can't wait! Tekken forever!

Missing characters? I don't mind seeing them in a sequel if that means doing them right and making them important to the story. I like cameos and hints but they need to be done in a way that it doesnt weigh down what the next film will do with them. I think X-men had a problem with over cameoing people and then redoing them later on.

I haven't played Tekken so I don't anything about it except for two characters. Yoshimitsu and Heihachi. This is because of there use in the Soulcalibur series. Due to this I can't say much. I'll just have to wait and see how this movie turns out.
