i was locked up in folsom for over 2 years... as far as CO's go... miller was a decent cop. the public has a twisted view of how prison life is. due to hollywood and sensational news reports. yes there are gangs and violence. it is racially segregated. but as long as you mind your own business, never back down from a fight, and keep to yourself you come out ok. sure i had to fight a few times. but i never let prison change me. only in the fact that i dont get in trouble anymore...
@lilmangoesofficial one of my best friends is in there, ask if he knows him =P Poor bro, was one of the most talented skater, biker, surfer I'd ever seen. Speed and a gang got him locked up there. Folsom isn't a place for nice people, I can imagine my homies gone crazy.
im from nyc..been locked up a couple times for little stuff...jails here aint pretty by any means...but for whatever reason, cali has a much more entrenched culture of gangs and politics that is downright scary...god forbid i ever go to jail in cali
@sbaker12 I AM FROM L.A. I WAS LOCKED UP FOR A WEEKEND IN RIVERSIDE COUNTY IT WAS SOME SCARY SHIT WAS ALSO LOCKED UP IN HOUSTON COUNTY FOR 6 MONTHS AND IN MIAMI COUNTY FOR OVER 3 MONTHS I AM GLAD I STAYED OUT OF ANY L.A. OR CALIFORNIA JAIL OR PRISON IT IS VERY RACIAL AND VIOLENT IN CALIFORNIA
My Neice's husband is a CO at Salinas Valley Prison in central California. Through court order California is supposed to release several thousand inmates soon. I know it will never happen but I wish they would let the CO's "vote" on which inmates are released. Many inmates are relatively harmless drug offenders and the CO's may be the ONLY people who work intimately with inmates on a day to day basis. Alot of inmates SEEM scary. They only adapt that personna for survival while incarcerated.
@randy109 very true, co's have a much more realistic picture of what an inmate is really like and who would be better to release, they should definitely be consulted
Hey, Im making a project about this, can someon tell me where to get a good full lenght Documentary video? or further info? wikipedia didnt give me the infomation i need. Thanks in advance!
