This makeup is really good. But in the Robert Palmer video, the girls' eyes were ten times darker than your version. The brow bones were also very dark because the black eyeshadow went all the way up to their brows. Maybe that's why they seemed to have no brows. .

Why can't people just enjoy the makeup. There is no one way in applying makeup. There are many many MU artists with different techniques. And for those who think that you should never start with eye makeup i say you sound stupid. Almost ....though a good lesson for basic "Cosmopolitan magazine cover" look. The Palmer girl's had more of a shadow on the brow bone with a very white face foundation....given more of a vamp look. Every thing else, beautiful.
I found your tutorial quite interesting. But you are correct when at the end you say the girls were paler. @Shevin86 Working in fashion, now that the 80s is "back" would be great! Go for it!! I use this look to attend parties, and it's always a hit. I'm just lucky that the look really suits me. I use MAC powder and blush as they produce the best effect for me. For casual day time, all you'd need is to tone down the eyes, ( they look ghoulish in daylight) but still maintain the red lips and pale foundation. Good luck and have fun!

She is not selling 'fake' products. She is just showing people how to recreate a similar look with products available today.
You obviously do not know anything about MAKEUP TUTORIALS, so commenting like this makes you look stupid.

can you wear such make-up for casual activities like shopping or working in a fashion store...or is it "too much" and would rather fit for a party? I know it's kind of an individual issue...but I just like to know what you would do~
and thanks for the tutorial..explains a lot of make-up mysteries to me..

@Shevin86 Working in fashion, now that the 80s is "back" would be great! Go for it!! I use this look to attend parties, and it's always a hit. I'm just lucky that the look really suits me. I use MAC powder and blush as they produce the best effect for me. For casual day time, all you'd need is to tone down the eyes, ( they look ghoulish in daylight) but still maintain the red lips and pale foundation. Good luck and have fun!
