As a Ranger fan..I was FURIOUS when the Pens didn't beat Florida in the Semi-finals that year! It made losing that series even worse. (The Pens had a better team, but not by a whole lot that year) I could have handled it if the Pens won the Cup, or even lost to what was a great Colorado team (calm down Wings fans), but when they went on to lose to a Panthers team that didn't have a single highly skilled player (Scott Melanby? C'mon!) it trebled the pain!
@stormcrow7878 Lemieux and Jagr vs Sakic and Forsberg would have been epic too! Instead the MOST boring team in playoff history lost the MOST boring multi OT game ever to Uwe Kruup. (Even the Devils weren't as boring as the Panthers....and that is saying something! F U Doug McClean!)
The 95-96 Penguins surprised everyone. So many new/young guys on that roster, and yet was easily one of the best Penguin teams in history. Jagr and Lemieux both dominated that season.
