Just yesterday I went to a funeral for a cousin who died suddenly to young. I still can't believe he is gone. This song is one of those messages that I think reminds us how fleeting the time of our lives really is and how much we should recognize and appreciate our abilites every day we are blessed to live.

I just think about the context of this song - it's right after he went through his "family period." He knew what was truly important and all of that came through on his album "Planet Waves". I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates the lyrics of this song! I hope I've done it justice...
