  • The Explorer Mini is compatible with a larger number of bi-voltage strobes than the VML and Innovatronix makes every effort to test and improve for compatibility.

For example, the VML does not work with the Elinchrom BX500Ri. It glitches and flips the power relays, as well as increasing recycle time dramatically as it attempts to stabilize the voltage.

  • how many shots supports this explorer mini with 600w flash .thankss

  • @mihayustaudi I was able to get 189 full power pops from an Elinchrom 600RX (600 Watt seconds).

  • I'm about to upload a few videos comparing the Innovatronix Explorer Mini to the Vagabond Mini Lithium.

'Better' is a relative thing. The Explorer Mini runs much cooler and offers faster recycle times on all strobes including the Einstein E640. The VML has better battery life but runs quite hot and is not designed to properly handle third party bi-voltage strobes. If it works, it works but PCB makes no guarantees and offers no support for non-PCB strobes or portable batteries.

  • I wonder if the Explorer Mini is as good as the Vagabond Mini.

  • @amoergosum3

is better than vagabond mini :)
