  • Have they ever told the ptard getting lost story?

  • @scoobster87 yes they did, on the podcast i think it was

  • @Fenn18l sweet! thanks!

  • I dont have a religion and was never taught a religion, never went to church as a kid. I believe there is a higher power out there, and that if you are a good person and do good things on this earth, then its all good. Too many people in this world obsessing about religions and which one is gonna be the right one to get them into heaven.

Just be good, stay away from evil, and you'll be fine.

  • I marked this video as my favorite, I love the lesson, I am also a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, since Sept 6, 2009, my eyes were finally open after my husband died June 30, 2009, My husband was also a member but I was so set against the church and it took my husband dying at age 33 to finally see the truth, I am going to show that lesson to my children, Thank you so much Shaytards!! So far lost a total of 79.1 pounds, check out my channel jen7334 your family is my inspiration!

  • shay, never be ashamed of being a religious person

  • I like the religious-themed vlogs even though I'm not religious. 'What do we feed our spirits' is one of my favorite shaytards vlogs of all time. You shouldn't be apologetic about your beliefs. :-)

  • i think you and your family are awesome l don't care what faith you chose.

  • I don't have anything against the Shaytards, but Mormonism... Really? That's just plain wrong. But hey, so is any other religion... Anyway, if it makes you happy, just continue.

  • @Tyrasibion i just wanted to know why you think its wrong cause i have no idea what mormonism is... haha i just wanted to see why its "wrong"

  • i like the metaphor method.

kinda surprised with the dislike percentage.

positive thinking always help me being happy. :D

  • Read about Islam <3 trust me

  • I have a question. I understand that the beliefs of Mormons are in the Book of Mormon but do Mormons also read the scriptures as in the bible? I'm pretty sure they do because they are Christian but i am not one hundred percent sure

  • Two thumbs up from me for reasonable non-religious folk and reasonable religious folk holding hands and getting along :)

  • Hey Shay I like ur talking about these stuffs because that's true. Greeting from Slovakia.

  • noodles?! guys! its pasta:3 just saying;)

  • Wait, can omeone help me out here, so is he athiest?{sp?}

  • Great video Shay! People believe all kinds of things, but what matters is that your ethical, kind and most of all happy! Not only are you guys happy but you share your happiness with others; SO many others. I'm not religious at all and try to stay out of it but the message you showed still translates and its a good message!

  • Why isnt he fat!

  • im so proud of yall showing your religion. showing that you make your kids read scripture and say nightly prayers is a great thing and im so happy to see the religion!!!! and that was a great lesson by the way thanks for sharing it was youtube because i know everybody needs to be reminded of what important and what should be put first in our lives so thank you!!!:)

  • Shay with cap = Joe Rogan. Shay with no cap = Tom Cruise.

  • It's been a long while since I watched a shaytards video and Carl looks to different for me. Carl hit the scene a big dude and that's one thing some of his fans love about him. I give him props for being strong enough to lose the weight and being healthier but it's just not the same anymore.

  • It is sad seeing him putting this brain virus into impressionable kids but with free flow of information today (internet) i think they will be able to snap out of that when they get a little older.

  • @barakuda1111 grow a brain before you start spouting crap about putting stuff into the brains of impressionable kids, I don't believe in religion but I can see the merit of the lesson, instead of it just being parents saying to do what needs to be done before doing the fun stuff it's god aswell AND you said yourself they will be able to make their own choice later, don't make out that religions are brainwashers that's the media with all their doom and gloom on a daily basis

  • @666DarkOverlord If you're not religious, how can you possible see put god and reading scripture before everything else is a good lesson? Religions do brainwash that's how they work, just open you're eyes and see it.

  • @Youdontlikemetalomg 'Important Things' could be all sorts of non-religious things, like loving your family and others, being kind, giving to charity, etc. It's still a great lesson :)

  • @JoshHarleySandwich Not the way it was expressed here. It was specifically noted that reading scripture and praying were the good things. Not a good message at all

  • @Youdontlikemetalomg please engage your brain before you try to contradict me, the core point of the lesson IS VALID, do the things that have to be done and the fun stuff will fall into place later, just because they see god and scripture as things that have to be done it doesn't invalidate the lesson, everyone is different so for my kids the things that have to be done is doing the chores they're given and their homework, nothing about god hence lesson still valid.

  • @666DarkOverlord No, the lesson is bad because of the way it was presented. And the lesson doesn't even make sense. By doing important things first, how have you saved time to do fun things later? Changing the way round you do the things will not save you any time. It's just another cheap attempt at bribing them into religion. And for your kids, it is a cheap way to trick them into doing work.

  • @Youdontlikemetalomg alright then wiseass how about a different example? Today Jimmy needs to do the grocery shopping, rake up all the leaves in the garden and do the dishes but he wants to watch the new 3 DVD box set that he got and finish reading a book, what should he do? Get the chores done first in the daylight to do the yardwork and then do the fun stuff at night like this lessons shows, OR should he just do the fun stuff and run out of daylight for the rest?

  • @666DarkOverlord Well that's a very specific example. He would have to do the yardwork during the day but the rest are flexible. And he could do the yardwork in the evening too.

  • @Youdontlikemetalomg right screw the examples then if you want to be such a pedantic tool, the long and short of it is; if you keep putting off things that have to be done to do the fun stuff instead then what has to be done won't get done the subject of what has to be done doesn't matter, when something comes up that needs doing you should do it before doing what you want to do otherwise you'll never get around to doing it.

  • @666DarkOverlord Cool story bro

  • @Youdontlikemetalomg what? run out of your oh so snappy retorts? "Cool story bro" such a cop out, if your gunna try and troll atleast try to stand your ground till the end. You've tried to ridicule people for the way they decide to raise their kids, do you even have kids of your own or are you just some spotty little oik sat at their computer screen giggling at getting people riled up?

  • @666DarkOverlord Cool story bro.

  • I thought the home teacher could have been a little better of a speaker, but maybe it was his first time one camera.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't mind you talking about your religion Shay : ) ... I'm a catholic : )... I'm trying to be a better person by spending time with my believes too. I thought it was a very nice lesson :3 I learned something. Thanks.

  • @heylookachannel I think you just shouldn't worry about what other people do and believe. People don't just have a religion to fit in or be like everyone else. They have a religion because that is what they believe is true. It's not stupid just because you do not agree with it.

  • Talk about your religion it is interesting

  • @mhd76 i did not know that... thank you!

  • GOODNESS, i haven't watched the Shaytards in months, and I had no idea who the dude blogging was for a second. Good job on the weight loss Shay! Very impressed!

  • Damn Carl! You're like super skinny now :)

  • Another way if you're not religious to influence someone to be a good person is tell them, "If you wouldn't say or do it infront of your grandparents, you shouldn't say or do it at all."

  • sigh.. maybe i should get back to revision instead of watching shaytards :/

  • I am Very atheist. However i do not hate you or dislike you at all for putting this up. As long as you are not trying to force it down my throat i dont mind.

  • @ChaosSchematic Yeah but forcing it down his kids throat is a-ok!

  • @Youdontlikemetalomg No i most definitely do not condone shoving religion down kids throats when they dont have the mental capacity to really think about it. However that was not the point i was addressing in my comment.

  • i'm not a very religious individual however i think that was a really good lesson to teach the kids.

  • For me being a christian is not a religion, its a relastionship with God

  • Shay, thank you for sharing your religion. Your videos bring a smile to my face and this one was awesome. I hope you share more because we need more light in this world.

  • Shay and his family are badass, he can talk about his religion if he wants it is his channel after all, it's just stuck up people who don't like others, not spreading their beliefs but just talking about them in the first place that are the problem

  • What no inslate

  • I can't stand the mormon religion and some of the beliefs it holds.Same with most other religions. However, saying that, the shaytards are awesome people and are obviously thriving off of their religious views without doing harm to others.Isn't that what it's all about? they are free to believe in whatever they choose and to also include it on their channel since that's what helps to make the awesomeness of the shaytards. He's never been preachy and i think that's awesome!

  • It's no biggie i get your mormon as long as you don't start preeching and asking me how a light bulb turns on from a light switch... that's what a religious guy tried saying on the bus rofl some of them are bonkers. Anyway what he was teaching too is right, i'm athiest but to me religions is just another way to teach good morals i mean it's like a fairytale, even though you think god is real doesn't mean he doesn't mean he actually has to be real to teach something, great parenting :).

  • It doesn't matter what religion you belong to or if you're an atheist - this is still a very good lesson. Shay and Colette is raising their children to be good people and the world can't have enough of those, right? Even though this isn't my religion I would love if at least one "one-take-sunday" a month would be something like this. Something about the Shaytards believes and religion - because it IS a big part of their life and we do love to see their life, doesn't we? Happy new year!

  • We do an illustration with rocks... pebbles.... sand and a cup of coffee, but the same principal applies. Haven't caught up with you guys for a while, but this was a good vid... 3 comments good :)

  • And you can still fit a cup of coffee in there too :)

  • The spiritual tasks makes the fun stuff even more enjoyable :) It's so important to raise your kids with spiritual goals. Awesome vid!

  • I guess we are like translucent object ( maybe like a see-through mirror). We reflect but we also absorb some of what we face in this world and that is who we are. We should accept others as what they are because we are not the same as the next person. Just live your life and reflect all of this message out. God knows you might reflect on it.

  • Religion is like a value... They value their religion and that is who they are. It's like their opinion of life and it reflects how the world (and the people has affected him and his family; in their ideas and their choices). The fact that they are religious (to any extent) doesn't matter. The influencing factors that had built his morals led him to Mormonism because that was what made sense to him. His opinion and your opinion counts as much as anyone else's opinion in the world has.

  • Translation: Shay is atheist he just uses religion to build family values.

  • @ApertureLabTech So religion builds family values, right? Yea :D

  • why are people saying belittling? lol

  • holy shit, aint seen shaycarl in atleast 4 months and man he has lost a shit tun of weight!

  • i liked it =]

  • shut up & live how you want to .

  • Comment removed

  • I never new that they were Mormon! Good to know!

  • I love this lesson! :) its so true

  • I don't understand why so many of you are belittling Shays religion, I, personally, dropped out of my religion (for my own reasons), but I'm not going to say that you're an idiot for being a Mormon, because who ever says that, is the idiot.

  • After Seeing This Are You A Christian Family and Do You Go To Church. I am a Christian and I attend The Embassy of the Kingdom of God church in Oshawa

  • Why are people belittling Shay's religion? We're the ones who want to see his daily life, and his religion is PART OF HIS LIFE. And also, its not like he's trying to preach to anyone at all. Also, this could be a good activity for anyone, whether atheist, christian, muslim, etc. Though our priorities may be different, but we all have things that willl make our lives better if we prioritize them!

  • @harleycody101 Colette is her real name but Kaitelette is her nickname.

  • i havent watched shays videos in probably a year... he lost a lot of weight!

  • Mormons are false teaching

  • Mormons are fucking stupid!

  • Is it Colette or Katilette?

  • Alright. This lesson doesn't ONLY have to be about religion... I love how, not to exclude people, the teacher guy added that the bible also said the same thing (I'm Christian). It shows that he wasn't saying "my faith is better than yours!" So no need to get hyped about it.

    I love you Shay((:

  • @TeamRPattinson Exactly, it doesn't 'have' to be about religion. It's a life lesson that anybody, even an atheist can learn from.

  • awesome vid guys

  • Wait im confused r they morman or athiest?????

  • @crazymonkey6192 They're mormon :)

  • We care :)

  • What a beautiful message :o)

  • I'm an atheist and I've never had a problem with Shay talking about his religion. He's never tried to push it on us or tried to convert anyone. He's teaching his kids to be good people and although I'd rather them be good because they know it's the right thing to do rather than because they feel they have too because off their religion they are still being good people. I really believe in the saying 'Good without God'.

  • @ferrier6 im with you on this thought.

  • @ferrier6 People who believe in God know what's the right thing BECAUSE of the Bible ;p

  • @watchandbamused The bible advocates murder, rape and all other kid of horrible things. People just pick and choose what to follow from the bible to suit them. They say 'oh no we don't follow the old testament' yet they still believe the bit about being gay is a sin. I don't need a book written thousands of years ago to tell me what's right or wrong. I KNOW what's right and wrong because I have MORALS.

  • @ferrier6 The Bible never advocates rape or murder. Tell me what verse it ever says anything about rape being ok? Murder is killing with the intent of doing wrong, the Bible also doesnt advocate that. When God told people to kill anyone it was for His purpose and if He is real who are we (sinners) to question the creator of moral's morals. Not all of the old testaments rules apply anymore because of His resurrection. Let me end on one question where did you or anyone get there morals from?

  • @watchandbamused A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9)

You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17) (You may have seen the news recently about the women who were burned to death because they were thought to be witches)

It's human nature to be compassionate. I will no longer argue with you over religion. I am not a confrontational person, I'm sorry if offended you. Good bye.

  • Comment removed

  • @ferrier6 I am not a Christian, but I would like to say: Many Christians don't believe that homosexuality is a sin. The bible does not advocate rape and murder. Much like 'some' Christians pick out verses to suit them, many non-Christians (whether it is intentional or not) pick out verses, take them out of context and do not take the time to learn about them, leading to some people believing that the bible advocates rape and murder, or whatever else.

  • @JoshHarleySandwich It does advocate rape and murder. Get your facts straight

  • Yeah, I don't like talking about my religon either... I know how you feel ;)

  • I'm an atheist, and I respect them, so everyone else should.

  • I honestly don't mind the religious stuff occasionally on Shaytards. Personally I am a Pagan, but the few religious things there are on here could be applied to almost any religion.

  • the quality is amazing... amazingly sh*t

  • I like when u share ur religion I might not be the same but it still has a great message :)

  • Shay, I love it when you talk about your religion, but I may be biased because it is my religion, too!

  • I remember when this lesson was taught at the church I went to with my friend. She then went home and wanted to show her parents what she learned in Sunday School. I thought it was cool.

  • I can't believe people disliked this video... just because religion is mentioned? This is a good lesson for anyone regardless of religion or beliefs. The noodles can represent anything good, not just prayer or reading the bible. Big picture people.

  • lol "I hope it fits, I wanna go to the movies"

  • Hahahaha!!!!! when you said "Im an athiest!" hahaha sooo funny! that was a good lesson! Im a christian, but that still is a great example!

  • Great lesson shay

  • In this video Shay was not belittling any of your religious views, so why do you have to belittle his???

  • i like llamas

  • Nice lesson! I am christian but I still appreciate that you are teaching your kids some good lessons! Love your vids!

  • Comment removed

  • Reading the Bible and praying as I've heard is now "living your life" and "doing the important things".

    Fucking shit.

  • shit people its just a dam way to help kids be better

    !!

  • Uhh Shay that guy is creepy,,,, get him out of there ...

  • I loved this video!! Haha we just did that same thing in young women's last week!!:) when I started the video I was like there's the home teachers!! And after I watched my home teachers came over:) I live being a latter day saint!!:)

  • the lesson is relevant to religion but it's also more than that. even if you aren't a spiritual or religious person you can appreciate the importance of the message that they're sharing with us. we have no right to concern ourselves with what another family believes. let them live their lives and find peace with their beliefs and you can do the same. no need to judge. it's all about what is right for that individual or family.

  • i think what you're doing is great :)

  • Amen shay I'm Christian and I love god I'm soooo glad people like and brittani Taylor are doing so well in YouTube and portraying a good view on Christians!!!!

  • @chloexxnxxsmith Go Christians ! :) But either way we'll love shaytards :)

  • @poedgon123 Where is the proof of heaven? You don't have to accept Jesus for that. How many religions are there? Too many. We all have our ideal place that we call heaven.

  • The LDS church is complete. We accept all Scripture and not for bits... like faith without works is nothing. And the commandment of being baptized and loving one another.etc etc.

  • I really like that noodle lesson :) Im not really into any religion but im not atheist either. I guess im just somewhere in between lol

  • "In the name of jesustard, amen."

  • @poedgon123 I completely agree with you 100%! In the Mormon religion they can stand without Joseph smith. I love shaytards, too though

  • @BaudelaireOrphan1 most mormons these days were raised up since they were born in that religion. it will be hard to convince long life mormons to be converted to christianity. I pray for the shaytards, i really do..

  • I love the shaytards, but they are totally lost :( the book of mormon is just wrong. things that I have read in this book is just insane! I hope you guys learn the real truth. Accepting Jesus in your heart is the only to get to heaven, not good works like by not lying, swearing and etc. dont get me wrong its good to do those stuff, but the only way is Jesus. I love you guys and i just wanna see you in heaven some day. God Bless <3

  • @poedgon123 The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints is the name of their religon. It's based on CHRISTS' teachings that include not lying or swearing. you don't have to believe in it but you shouldn't belittle it, they are doing a fine job of raising their children. CHRIST taught us to accept everyone. And i mean none of this against you and i say with all sincerity, God Bless as well <3

  • @candlewaxmelts I get what your saying, but there is so much false doctrine in the book of mormon. For example, they believe that we can also be gods. uhhh where does that say in the BIBLE. Also, for some reason when part of the Bible disagrees with their "book" they count that Biblical part wrong. Like I said again, I love the shaytards, but they are just lost and need to know the real truth

  • @poedgon123 The bible is just as lost as the book of mormon. (see how that was done?)

  • @69southpole He wasn't being intolerant of others' opinions; he was just stating his own.

  • I feel like Shay shouldn't have to apologize every time he mentions his religion. Some of us may not agree with it, but the noodle lesson is excellent and he and Colette are doing a great job raising awesome children and taking their marriage commitment so seriously, and I take my hat off to them for those feats alone. I'm liking this video because I support Shay's bravery-- he knew he was risking some ugly comments with a video like this.

  • @DancinTravelbug

    Very well said.

    I agree 100% with you.

It doesn't matter what religion you are, the noodle lesson still applies to you!

  • I love the Shaytards. I am a christian and the noodle lesson was a great reminder of how we should spend our time. You're a great family and I applaud the way you are bringing up your kids Shay and Collette Keep up your kindness and straight-forewordness! :)

  • I'm not religious but that is a good lesson.

  • I'm an atheist and while I don't agree with the religious overtones, I do agree with the "noodles first" sentiment. My noodles just don't include praying and all that jibba-jabba.

  • Shay Carl, you inspire me.

  • Hi Shay, I saw your video and it surprised me you attributed the source of your happiness to your Mormon religion. But i think deep down inside you know you wouldn't need that religion to be happy. That's a insecurity. Truth is bro there are thousands and thousands of religions in the world how do we know which one is true? Chances are they are all true in certain aspects but no one is indefinitely right. If you really want to know just observe the body language of everyone inthevideoandtonality

  • of their voice. I used to be a hardcore Mormon and i would have saw you guys as mediocre Mormons. They just live inside a book with the worst of them on the bridge of psychosis. As 1 John 4:16 tells us, “God is love”. ;) you should just follow your heart shay. ;)

  • @livingin360 "You dont need religion to be happy. That's a insecurity"...right and you are intolerant of other people's opinions.

  • holy shit you lost so much weight

  • To get saved you have to know that you are a sinner, say a prayer that your sorry for ur sins, you beloved 100% that Jesus died on the cross for your sins, your sorry for your sins, and that you want to accept Jesus into your heart and be saved. That's my belief, I believe that salvation takes you to heaven, not your works. Your works please God, but the ONLY way to go to heaven is by getting saved. Message me if you have any questions.

  • @WOAHitsKemo I don't believe Jesus did die on the cross. I'm not going to say a prayer for all of my sins because I've already learned from them.Sin is necessary in life.It is a building block for learning.I will not accept Jesus into my heart.I will accept that he was an awesome fella, a very advanced spirit in human form who had many great things to teach the world and a lot of people are using those for the purpose of control, greed and negativity.I KNOW I'm going to heaven.

  • I am a baptist christian I go to solid Rock baptist church I beloved that salvation takes you to heaven and after you get saved you should be baptized . Baptism doesn't take you to heaven, it shows that you are saved and haappy to be saved. Kind of like a wedding ring , you wear ur ring because it shows ur married and ur happy to be married.

  • LDS for the win!!! I love being a latter day saint

  • I'm a christian, I don't see myself as part of a religion, I believe in GOD and I have a strong faith in the Him and do my best to live according to what the Bible teaches us.

  • @20SarahN10 like killing your neighbor if he works at sundays ?

and so forth... the bible teaches a lot, hopefully you nitty pick the morally best and just stick with them, :-)

  • Religion and the loons like these that buy into it are the root of all evil.

  • As a non-religious person, the main concept of this video meant little to me but as the lesson you're trying to teach has nothing to do with religion and is very important in life, it's good that you're teaching it to your children as well as following it.

  • Another video recorded on the iPhone, another one taker/iphonetard vid cut into mid-sentence ;D <3

  • why all the dislikes

  • I got lost at disney when I was babytards age too lol

  • DID HE LOSE WEIGHT

  • I am in LOVE with the shaytards. They are a wonderful family and I don't worry about their religion. Today isn't the first time we knew what they were Mormon. I'm a devout Catholic and watch the shaytards religiously. I may not agree with their teachings; but they know how to raise kids and have an awesome family..no matter what their religion is.

  • @iMPishThing well you're ugly.

  • I have had that lesson before but it was eggs not pasta

  • uh, no battery?

  • My family believes in God. We don't have a religion, but we never pray.

  • I'm Catholic but don't attend church nearly as much as I did growing up. I still have my beliefs, and appreciate the lesson that your teacher was trying to teach the kids. No matter what religion we are, it definitely makes sense.

  • Lost so much weight ! :0

  • If "religion" helps you, that's fantastic.

But don't you DARE to presume what is BEST for me !

You'll instantly lose any credibility that you may have had to begin with.

Happys and merrys to all ! ;-)

  • @tinkerbella7391 its also called having a day off. :)

  • get rid of the pubic hair on your face !!!

  • I haven't watched in a while cause I had a really bad flue and was recovering . SHAY HOLY COW YOU LOST SOOO MUCH WEIGHT ! I am so proud of you as I am sure everyone is especially your family. Wtg..you give so much hope that if you really want to do something it is truly possible .

  • @flybikes29 wa??? someone asked how the universe was created, in my religion it is rude to spell g-ds name correctly and the polite way to spell it is with the -

  • very good

  • I remember these small lesson's and talks but they eventually slip out your mind.

  • I guess1,562 aren't Mormon. I'm not either but I agree with the lesson. =)

  • @SesameStLegend and I can't stand people like you who go so worked up about someone else's opinion which you have no obligation to take notice of or be offended by. I don't necessarily agree with @McStabz but you're definitely not proving that you're a better person or he or she is lesser by the way you responded to his comment. I am guessing you're religious and if you are, I am sure no religion commends that sort of abuse or disgusting language. Get a grip.

  • It doesnt matter what ones religion is. All that matters is that YOU, as a person and family are happy in what you do and everyday life. Me, Im more of a spiritual person. I do not have one set religion, I have beliefs in many different religions. It is not ones place to judge another on their religion or anything else for that matter.

Shaytards, I love your videos and your family! Keep doing what you do and love each other unconditionally. Love you guys!! <3

  • they traded Rocktard in for another baby! xDD

  • Literal Meaning: Eat the complex carbs dinner first and you'll still have room for dessert! haha but in all seriousness if religion makes you want to be a better person I can hardly see a downside
