The Heavy lift brigade certainly have to drive and watch out for everyone else it seems? And the time saved in them making these ridiculously dangerous moves, just a few second or minutes at most, wow, what ignorance, and perhaps another reason why there should be police escorts for these huge loads for everyone safety!

I know somebody in the UK who is in the force and spends all day driving pursuit Volvo's. He says that apart from the crash risks, "the job is a breeze" (his words!). Actually, reflecting what you said, you are right in one respect but there are many other jobs on the road that are dangerous or difficult.
