Teaching children about hell is quite clearly emotional abuse. Many people have revealed great emotional scars caused by religious indoctrination and the fear of hell. Only Hindus could partly resist, cos they had stronger beliefs.

Both the Bible and the Koran are very unclear as to what they are actually saying and they often contradict other passages. There might not be specific passages which states that this group of people should be put to death or something but you can definitely infer it from other passages filled often with hate and bigotry.

Teaching children about hell is quite clearly emotional abuse. Many people have revealed great emotional scars caused by religious indoctrination and the fear of hell. It seems especially likely to cause trauma when it is not the child's own fate that is being considered but the fate of other people who die.

3) Learn more about other cultures: Japanese usually are members of a number of different religions which has a more philosophical meaning for them. They usually don't classify themselves or others. Buddhists are one of the most peaceful people in general, that's why once10s of millions of them had been slaughtered and forcibly converted in India by Muslims! Both the Bible and the Koran are very unclear as to what they are actually saying and they often contradict other passages. There might not be specific passages which states that this group of people should be put to death or something but you can definitely infer it from other passages filled often with hate and bigotry.

2- I believe the verses have been simplified. For example, in the verse you show, it says "Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. So simplified, it makes sense.

It's not the book's fault. It's the interpretations of the person or persons who are 'defining' it. It's true our laws were mapped out of the biblical laws. However, those laws were never MEANT to reflect ANY church's particular interpretations of it to avoid relgious wars and misunderstandings as well as to encourage tolerance of other's religious beliefs. I think the people deliberately misenterpretating it are political subversives and nothing more.

Forget the doctrines of monotheism and tolerance, it seems all people want to hear about is the virgins. There's a lot more to Paradise than just sex and physical pleasure, you know.
There is no direct evidence in the Qur'an to support there being 70 or 72 for each person.

The numerical value of 70 is derived from a Quranic commentary by Quranic scholar Ibn Kathir. The number 72 comes from a hadith that says "'The smallest reward [each] for the people of Heaven is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine and ruby, as wide as the distance from [Damascus] to [Yemen].'"

I've only seen a bit of it so far but from what I've seen a few comments.
A. First and foremost it doesn't say which translation is being used.
B. In several cases (thus far) only parts of verses have been used. Example: 2:165-6 (which is only supposed to be 2:165)in the movie is only the last part of the verse (incorrectly written o.o). The version I'm supposing you (rather original uploader) is...wait word limit <_<

he had a popular youtube atheist about 8 months ago. He made a video about islam, this video, then got banned. The email he got from youtube told him it was inappropriate and thats why he was banned. When an almost universal backlash of the atheist community happened as a result, they sent another email stating that the first email was wrong and that it was copyright because of music that he was banned.

In all fairness, something outlining the Torah or the Christian Bible would be just as brutal. Things taken out of historical and cultural context lose their meaning. I did enjoy the first 3 minutes of this - then the quotes kind of got the point across and it got boring.
