  • PCOS is common for all the womens & nothing to worry. With PCOS many got pregnant.

    dependents on PCOS size.

  • ... of a complex issue than that, but I wouldn't be surprised if chemicals in our everyday environments have something to do with causing PCOS. Looking forward to hearing your findings!

  • I've been doing a lot of research into the toxins found in our everyday environment and there is a lot of research that suggests that pthalates and parabens have a big impact on the male and female reproductive systems. We have unfortunately all been exposed to these chemicals since conception as they are everywhere - shampoo, cosmetics, children's toys, etc. It is very hard to get away from them. Perhaps this may have something to do with the rising infertility rates? I'm sure it is more ...

  • @OurGrandAdventure That's a great point, Helen. Whether or not it is the cause is beyond me (obviously); however, it seems more logical that those things *would* have an adverse effect on fertility (since they effect the reproductive systems anyways) then thatthey wouldn't. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  • It is totally genetic , and we are born this way . My family history has many woman with pcos

  • @erikaprescod Interesting. Is it nice having it be as prevalent as it is, for support?

  • I think its genetic and diet together because I have a couple family members that are not diagnosed but they have many of the lovely characteristics that PCOS has to offer haha...I have attempted the research in the past and it seems to get very complex and complicated to understand so It would be nice if some doctor could dummy it up for us haha you know bright cartoon pictures and arrows displaying the craziness haha :)

  • @ML0822 I agree! Everybody need to start with 'explain it to me like I'm 5.' It's just a lot of information! I recently learned that my Aunt has PCOS and my sister has a different fertility issue so I wonder. Thanks for the input!

  • @Angelalalynn Yup...in addition to my aunts I mentioned you reminded me I do also have two cousins on the same side of the family who have endometriosis and thyroid issues...there needs to be so much more research done on this but its probably a matter of raising funds for more research and awareness...hopefully in the near future.

  • I think our diet and lifestyle will spin it out of whack

  • I read something that suggests that pcos could be caused by mothers eating too much sugar and/or smoking while you're in the womb...

I also wonder if it may be casued by birth control like the pill.

  • @allynedlum Neat idea about to much sugar while we're in the womb, I hadn't thought about that effect. The BCP is an interesting culprit , too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

  • hi sweets A topic Iv been wanting to research for a long time. so excited!

One of the guesses that has been my biggest is simply diet and lifestyle. PCOS is something so common these days and it really makes me wonder if it has something to do with industrialization. PCOS seems to be reversable with a great deal of commitment involved, my other thoughts is it could possibly be genetic. i havent done much research so these are just my guesses.

  • @DanielleBabyBliss @DanielleBabyBliss I think your idea on industrialization and dietary changes makes a lot of sense. Genetics makes sense too, I know I have a relative with PCOS so, good thoughts! I'll share my opinions in a video soon.
