  • it isn't the final version of ics, look at how the search app is different and the tabs on the app drawer aren't in caps

  • @jjoeshaw there will never be a final version for this device,as its 1ghz scorpion cpu is too slow for ics,the best youll get is ports such as u see here

  • @kaaabooooom Its not about the 1 ghz, its because it has less internal memory. Speed is fine.

  • @ibnulsharar theres enough internal memory minimum requirment is 256 for ics to run,the cpu however has a dual core requirment

  • how do u one click root g2 so i can put this rom on my phone or somthn

  • That why i dont google screw the nexus one owner. I love pure google but if i want next update i wont settle with Carrier, Manufacture or even believe google. I never bought a nexus to get stock either g2 and moto droid 1 both was stock.

  • yes it is laggy however that is through no fault of the phone, these buggy builds are using software rendering, so the CPU is doing everything here, that is why it looks so bad

once they get hardware acceleration going then you will see that this OS will run like shit off a stick.

for those that are interested you are probably better off waiting for CyanogenMOD sources to get a working build

  • i guess i kinda understand

  • Laggy xxabert300.. fucking moron the nexus 1 has a 1ghz processor jackass dont talk shit if you have no idea what you are talking about you still probably using motocliq or g1 Lol jackass

  • @deathscythe2k11 That's what he said dumbass.

  • Fuck google the nexus s has almost the same identical hardware as the nexus one with the only difference being the hummingbird processor fuck google well what do you know nexus one still runs it

  • @deathscythe2k11 u forgot to mention that nexus s have a better graphic processor too and bigger screen

  • Great stuff...so why has Google just said that ICS is too advanced for the N1 and won't let N1 users update to it? :(

  • @Mike240060 just install a custom rom, man.

    no biggie.

  • can somebody explain to me why nexus one is 1ghz and it laggs but i have htc g2 wich runs 800mhz and it doesnt lagg on anything

  • @XxALBERT3000 I would imagine it's lagging because it's based on the sdk and has no hardware acceleration. Google hasn't released the source for ICS yet, once they do you'll see actual stable, functioning builds that incorporate all the necessary drivers and everything will run smooth. Google has said they won't release the source until the galaxy nexus ships, so sometime in november.

  • @XxALBERT3000 clock speed isnt everythin your phone has dedicated gpu plus the processor is the second version of the nexus ones processor 45nm instead of the n1s 65nm do you kinda understand

  • @XxALBERT3000 it lagging because this is alpha roms is not yet beta or stable stage. your g2 is in the same boat if u hacker u would know

  • This video is rather anticlimactic what with half the features either non-existent or unprepared (you couldn't have loaded a few placeholder contacts just to show us? I mean if it's THAT different than older versions). Thanks for wasting 6 minutes of my life when I could have just looked at my current Android and gotten just as good of an idea of how it would work.

  • @nuffsaidguy it is 1ghz dumb ass

  • Sorry dude, but you are incorrect. The Nexus One has a 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250. And yes ICS is currently laggy as there are no real hardware drivers to provide acceleration. It will be smooth once the correct drivers are incorporated.

This is pre-alpha build to wet our appetites.

  • Stfu, dont tell people to know there stats wen u dont kno urs, it DOES hav an 800 mhz processor, the nexus s has a 1 ghz.

  • @nuffsaidguy your fucking stupid it is 1ghz hahaha retard!!!!!

  • @nuffsaidguy 1ghz moron.

  • @nuffsaidguy dude it 1ghz

  • really people?... know your stats. the Nexus one is a 1 Ghz processor NOT 800 Mhz

  • @suaveeze did you know that this is running the SDK emulator, so its the final source code ROM. So that's why its laggy, the final Rom has hardware acceleration and it can work on any 2.3 phones and 3.0 tablet devices and by the way the iphone 4 run iOS 5 very slow sometimes, its lags and sometimes freezes much worse on 3GS. So IOS is not perfect, neither Android.

  • Lol Albert know what ur saying before u post. Its running a 1ghz processor and Google is talking about giving the NexusOne ICS. No hardware requirements

  • I love android but I get pissed knowing like the iPhone 4 can be updated to the newest ios5. On a 800mhz processor. But I bet most phones that 1 ghz wont even see ics, and to just top it off it can't run smooth but iPhone can do it... just saying I would like ics but koo and stuck rooted on epic 4g atleast I get to root

  • laggggggyyyu its because nexus one runs a 800mhz processer

  • That was fast...
