I think Colin had figured it out by 'bald faced lie'. If you listen, you can hear Clive laughing in the background. Wow, we're not even at the last episode and I'm already missing Whose Line UK. I don't want to start anything, but I like that version the best - and I'm American.
@mattyxmatt313 I like Clive's dry deadpan wit and think it matches the dark setting of the early UK seasons. It's like everything is set simple so the hillariousness of the actors and comedians can shine more, as if you place diamonds on black satin. Yes, the atmosphere in the US episodes is happier and nicer, but it covers the improvisations too much. WL US feels more like a big party, WL UK is faster, a bit darker, and they can swear. So Drew fits to the US version, Clive to the UK version.
@mattyxmatt313@Satori19 Oh God damn it teh same comment was posted in the previous video by someone completely different. Clive was hosting this show when improv television was on a crutch, decades ago. Show a little respect. First, of all, Clive is a damn good host. Really, if you think he has no humor, you simply don't get it. It's typical English dry wit. His humor is in his speech, not his behavior. How much air time does the host take up anyway? Why does the host matter so much?
@mattyxmatt313 Clive is hilarious. Did you not just hear his joke "Well the points are going crazy. I'm writing them all in gibberish." He's funny! Much better than Drew's constant sexual jokes that get old fast.
a lot of comments are being too harsh on clive. generally, he's a good host; neither better nor worse than drew. for those that think he doesn't enjoy the show, please watch more eps of the uk because his laughs are overheard most of the time as the improvisers strut their stuff. after the games he quickly becomes composed that's why rarely are there cameos of him reacting - except of course when it's a greg-clive banter moment.
I don't think the American audiance agrees with Clive. I think that he was too use to the more subdued british studio. I couldn't even hear his just before adverts 'while people try to sell you stuff' quip.
for people who say that he was just in it for the money, he was host of the show before it was on TV I think he just loves improv, but is man enough to know that /this/ kind of show is not one he would be good on (as a preformer that is)
Am I the only one who gets just a little irritated by this audience??? It seems as they force themselves to laugh and clap after almost every single line....really lowing down the show.

I love that at the end of press conference Colin even got the phrasing ("love child") correct. He's brilliant. :P Too bad he never got to be Kirk during multiple personalities.
3:50 Ryan taps Colin's shoulder 'hey buddy do this'
3:59 Colin acts out Ryan's idea
4:03 Colin looks at Clive 'Ryan made me do it'

I like Clive better than Drew, if I had to choose. Clive is much wittier and I just love his banter with Greg!
