"I can see other bands losing money" Mate your some kid with a guitar in his room. Who the fuck is going to pirate your shit. The larger bands have billion dollar companies leeching off every cent they make. Music is no longer music its a business and pirates are not dumb enough to make these already fat and over-bloated river leeches fatter.
man, that idiot musician should stop making discs and start going digital distro before he files for bankruptcy, he seems so "stuck" in the way that CDs are the only way to sell music, besides piracy isn't is was is hurt him (or much of anyone for that matter) its digital distribution like iTunes, and Napster where you pay for music online, rather than at a store
if some unknown dj makes an underground mix tape and shares it with 10 friends, that's not really a problem. but if millions of people download a big budget movie that they might otherwise have bought on dvd....
ppl download movies because they arent going to spend 12e for a half decent movie...
do u honestly think ppl would start going into the movies with larger rates if there wouldnt be piracy, pls... i just went so see "ironman" and yeah it was worth the 12e but 80% of the sheiche they produce isnt...
couldn't they develop crawlers that search file sharing sites for film title, artist name, song name etc then hire a few people to chase it up and get the torrents removed.
of course the sharers could bypass that by using code words, but that would make searching much harder, force the sharers into much smaller more underground groups, and so limit the extent of the problem.
now they are suggesting that authorities would have full acces to view all data but that would require so much manpower that it wouldnt be worth it... it would be like the postoffice would open every single letter and read whats in it...
hahahahaha i love the ending..i totally know where your comming from...i have sooo much editing software...and there is noooo way i could ever afford it...nice documentary though!
Have you heard of that band? Have you heard them?
Well, I guess you know why they are $600 in the hole...

Good doc but I noticed the word Cinematography in the credits. Did you shoot this on real film? Film is cinematography, video is not.

cinematography is not dependent on how you shoot the motion picture, or at least if it was (film v. digital) it seems like that is slowly dying.

majority of people downloading movies do it because they can, they wouldn't have payed to see it either way.

why is it logistically impossible to curb it?

"then hire a few people to chase it up and get the torrents removed. "
Removed how?
Hacking? illegal, take downs? more pop up soon after a particular torrent is removed easily.
