@speciesamused hunters frequently save deer with locked horns or trapped in the mud, etc. Further, without deer hunters,

we wouldn't have many deer because of disease, habitat loss, lack of game wardens, etc. Hunters and fishermen/women are the true conservationists. As far myself, I would make every effort to rescue a deer even to some degree of personal risk.
