because I saw his pedals for this tour..no bd-2...just two ts-10's one with all the knobs on 12:00 and one with the drive up all the way and the rest around 12:00ish..
he actually uses originial vintage ts-808s. no ts-10s i dont think. hes a vintage boy. and you cant "see" his pedals for this tour. thats a stupid statement. Theyre kept in a rack unit controlled by a midi unit with a few compressors and his way and his feet.
@lllULTIMATEMASTERlll No problem man. I understand your opinion. I like other blues musicians as well and like their work either, however it is good that somebody from the mainstream showing the old classic values for the younger generation and I guess there is no problem with Mayer's blues skills at all. He got the feeling and the he has a good aspect in rhythm. Because honestly I heard Crossroads covers from a lot of artists, however they cannot leave their marks on it.
@reech4nineteen I understand. I am glad Mayer does blues as i like him as an artist but i have problems with putting him on such a high regard as a blues guitar or just guitar player. All im saying is he is not changing the direction of the blues at all. But i like what he's doing. I just don't like when people compare him to Clapton.
why is he so fucking cool compared to everyone else?

the 808's are always the best. there's really no point in getting any other, in my opinion

Very interesting cover....
also that older guy playing the red guitar standing in the corner looks alot like Paul McCartney's guitar play in the early 90s

I love the moment when the background vocal part comes. JM is the Prince Of The Blues. I'm looking forward his new album.

@reech4nineteen Im sorry. I don't wanna hate on anything but Prince of the Blues? His blues weren't good enough to sell on their own so he does pop.
