I once owned this clip on a VHS cassette. Why they cut straight away to Dennis Taylor I have no idea. I can imagine the applause went on for minutes. Ironically this was filmed during his "Interesting (boring)" years.

In a real game if u knock the eight before any other one of ur balls it a foul......but since this is a trick shot......it doesnt matter.....

they're the rules for pool, different rules completely for snooker.

you have to pot a red ball before potting a coloured ball, and once all of the reds are potted you then pot the colours in the order of Yellow, Green, Brown, Blue, Pink and Black. But as you stated, since its a trick shot competition, it doesn't matter

That is probably also the reason why the green and blue are assisted by the reds in front of the pockets, to make sure the green and blue get a correction nudge in case they drift a bit away from the pocket.

It must be particularly hard to get the green right since the pink nudged the blue before hitting it + the green still had to colide in the brown before heading towards the far left pocket. And then there is still the chance for the blue to double-kiss, being so close to the cushion. Amazing trickshot!
