Oh lord. This was one of my favorite novels, about themes of sexual assault, teenaged sadism, self harm, self-hate, etc and now it's bastardized into a cutesified teen coming of age find-yourself-through-art movie. How thoroughly disappointing.

U personally did not like her in this movie..I don't hate her though. She's an alright actress. I just wish they found someone else. This is one of my favorite books and I read it 5 times and will read many more times. I still have not finished the movie because for some reason she just bored me.

Kristen really is talented. Unfortunately, she has one judging her off of Twilight because of her lousy character now. Hopefully she starts doing more serious movies after Twilight that showcase her real talent.

yeah i read the book and watched the movie. just that everybody hating her for it and losing all her friends doesn't seem so realistic, it's just a party for crying out loud. but even if her friends left her for not talking, i don't think they would just leave her. they would try and help her. maybe she just had lousy friends.

@MeliiLynn she got raped at the party and felt she couldn't tell anyone or didn't know how to tell anyone. Because she didn't, all of her friends had no idea and thought she was being a jerk for calling the cops. She was around 14 years old at the time, being raped is something a lot of grown women never get over and it is understandable.
