how long time did you spend on this trip and what was your budget?

@fenny87 Hey mate, well depends, expenses were about $2,500 -$3,000 each for 6 weeks but i would say that $1,000 of that we spent at sailing nationals for accom, registration, food and the like...because there were 4 of us we could spread the costs of shopping and petrol pretty well!

We are three boys from norway who`s coming over in october and we are planning exact same route, just oposite. did you sleep in tents every night or did you use hostels?

@fenny87 We mostly slept in tents to keep it cheap, but on the gold coast we stayed in an apartment and Sydney we stayed in a hotel. Check out Wicked Campers they hire out cheap vans which you can sleep in and look pretty cool too!

ahh come on... Do'nt hire a wicked campervan... You don't wanna be spotted in a didge with ya bloody wicked van... Just buy one yourself and sell it again at the Kings Cross Car Market :)

@13amy88 sydney to perth we took 5 weeks (went up to brisbane first before going back to sydney) but we could have spent easily 10 as we didnt get a chance to surf the coast of  victoria so we'll have to back some time :)
