thats not really trying to break it in half as much as it is just crushing it vertically with 40tons if you were gonna break it in half get something that holds either end of the owle and push pressure in the middle.

It's still pretty impressive. What modern camera devise can take 40 tons of pressure. it would probably bend and twist along its length in 2-5 tons but still thats a car resting on your camera.
