Henry's whistle was Gordon's whistle in that episode. They really make the same sound. ONly the deeper pitched part of Gordon's whistle, the reverb is more evident, whilst Henry's whistle compilation is vice versa.

Or- who said that because Gordon's whistle sounded and Henry came into view that Henry had whislted in the first place?

Even so, I think that season 8 was good. The reason being there is a variety of different shots and scenes wat different locations. This keeps us interesting. There's no point in having an episode based on The Railway Series Books if ther directing skills make the episode boring.
