This year, Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) proposed an amendment that would deny defense contracts to companies that ask employees to sign away the right to sue. All Democrats voted yes, all female GOP senators and a few male GOP senators voted yes. 30 male GOP senators voted no. John Stewart, talking about this part of the contract, referred to it as a "rape consent form" which it pretty much is. Here are the 39 Senators who voted against:

Criminal matters are 100% outside the scope of arbitration.

Arbitration is an alternative for commercial litigation *not* a replacement for criminal justice (or an excuse to hide criminal evidence).

Also, the whole 'loophole' concept of lawless zones makes no sense. It can't sustain and will lead to more cases like this (and worse -- what if she had not been able to call rep Poe?).
