  • "let's just say it's a mercy kill" epic line :s

  • Amazing song... I love it so much.

  • love this song and Siouxsie so much!!!

  • Awesong song. Thanks for sharing.

  • if you touched my heart, a truth might lie disguised ... you'd be paralyzed

  • did she go solo

  • yea

  • This is so wonderful. ^ ^

  • love all the images of Sioux ♥ and excellent song!!!!

  • one of my favorite siouxsie & the banshees tracks of all time...right up there with 'forever'...gives me chills everytime!

  • This song always scared me in a way. When I heard this, I WAS in a kind of paradise (because paradise is always so personal) and I was separated from my family (which includes a little sister) - I had just joined the Navy and got sent to Scotland. Anyway, reading/hearing the lyrics to this song (and a couple others, actually), I felt as if they were written for me/to tell me something.

  • So pure, so beautiful, so Siouxsie ...

  • Beautifulll !!!!!!

  • @MacVideoCollection That is NOT Madonna. Madonna was unheard of at the time of this pic. It looks like Arri Up to me.

  • @FunnelIntoOblivion or Viv Albertine?

  • ohhhh such a beautiful song!!!!

  • Siouxsie was ahead of her time

  • beautiful :)))))))))

  • Many thanx, deep!

  • great photos , congrats

  • hauntng and gorge

  • Has anyone ever seen a video to this? Wow! If not what a missed opp' This bleeds Siouxs' tortured dark side.....brking rules - breaking vows - breaking into two - Damn It ! I can see the whole vid!, can't you ?.....songs a bit short for what I have in mind but Damn!....oh well...

  • I've just heard this song twice, and without even understanding what's talking about ,I've fallen in love with it.

  • she is our little sister always.

  • she's more like our old sista...haha

  • Well, yeah, unless you refer to her height maybe... ;-)

  • The song is so weepy and full of morose. As if she was losing half of herself and was undecided whether to follow her half into where ever. Alas, a B-side it seems to her darker days. Where there is Sioux there is a Little Sister.

  • @truxers11A true,i'm crying my eyes out listening to it,i can feel the sorrow

  • This is a cosmic song always!

  • she looks like Carrie Ann Moss a little bit. And Madonna has nothing on her PERIOD!

  • she looks a little bit more like britney.

  • 3:11 Chrissie Hynde, Pauline Black(???) Debbie Harry, Poly Styrene (??? No clue who the next one is. Can anyone enlighten me??) and of course Siouxsie (Goddess!) Thx!

  • looks like madonna?

  • ....nah...I don't think so. The wrong crowd for Madonna....it's driving me nuts though. Someone must know......possibly...Beki Bondage from Vice Squad.....but really....it's a blind guess.....???!! Thanks though.

  • Viv Albertine from The Slits

  • Thanks soo much, guillem43!!!....God --Yeh...OK I would have got there in the end but it was driving me mad in the meantime.

  • No problem-glad to help. The world doesn't need another mad person . . .

  • this song is so sad :(

  • Sad but awesome =]

  • So cool, so hot.

  • Sioux <3

  • Souxsie is kill bill! Kill the gils!

  • Seeing her live is an experience, she is still full of energy and fantastic at holding the audiences attention.A unique voice and one I love and have done for many, many years

  • Wow.

I'm 17 and I've only just heard anything by Siouxsie. First thing I heard by her was this song and I am utterly entranced by her. She is amazing.

So much better than the mainstream rubbish most people my age listen to.

  • Thats right Siouxsie is the Goth Queen-Mother of all that is dark and beautiful! Listen and learn, the younger generations have a duty to keep this art form alive! Dont let gentle dark-beauty die in this new "Planet of the Apes"

  • I'll make sure her music stays alive. It's shameful that I only recently heard anything by her.

And this may seem off topic, but she's really beautiful isn't she? =)

  • OH YEAH..and shes even more beautiful today then she was back then..shes aged very well!

  • I agree on everything you say and I like the things you say and It needs to be said to the you people that an't throw to what you say.

  • Beauty is never off the topic. She is very beautiful in many ways.

  • Galactu5,

I love that comment, "Beauty is never off the topic.", a quote for the ages, no pun intended, (appreciated, just not intended!).

  • I hear you. I've been listening to Siouxsie since I was thirteen, sitting by an obscure wall, alone, and this has got to be one of my favorite songs by her and the Banshees.

  • @FFQueen92 I know the feeling. I too was about 16 or 17 when I discovered Siouxsie and her music and I was immediately, well, spellbound. The first song I heard was Cities In Dust, I think. And it was something so different than anything I had ever listened to before... and it also made me grow a huge dislike to all that commercial radio shit.

  • @FFQueen92 exatly, this is actual poetry instead of the 'just dance and get frunk get raped and wake up and do it again' shit that we all hear on the radio. i ADORE her!! and i'm only 14

  • Any Madder Mortem fans out there? Well worth checking out if you have the time. "Hangman" and "Resonatine" are particularily haunting.

  • nádhera siouxsie is best

  • I like this album. I don't listen to it as much as I should, always was more into Juju and Kaleidescope, but this album showed a more softer vulnerable side of the band that was great.

  • <3 Always.

  • I adore this song

  • Another outstandingly haunting, faultless track from The High Priestess herself. Legally adopting her birth surname, at sixteen, as my own, is something I'll never regret - has given me a permanent, personal bond. Her credibility and talent is timeless and eternal. Love you forever Siouxsie.

  • that is the saddest song :(

  • does anyone know where I can get that pic of siouxsie at 2:46 wheres shes wearing a suit and taking it off.

  • awesome song. one of my favorites tracks

  • This is an awesome song Siouxsie - One of your all time best!

  • Oh, I wish I could find a live version of this.

  • Ain't that an Elvis tune covered by Dwight Yoakam?...Just kiddin'! See, those who know music LOVE all kinds! Siouxie is one of my favorites. My cassette finally snapped the other day, quickly replaced it with CD!

  • Great voice! Sexy too. Always thought the Bass Player looked like a young Donald Southerland (?)

  • which album is this song on?

  • I believe this is from Superstition.

  • thanks.

  • yes.Superstition, including the hit "kiss them for me".

  • @solwolfpunk You would be correct

  • best album

  • Great work as always. Can you identify

the other folks in that last photo?

55 year old punk is very curious.

  • Debbie Harry and Chryssie Hynde and a few others that I forget but I will try to figure it out.

  • I'm pretty sure the guy is Ranking Roger from

    English Beat and General Public.

  • I did not see a guy. They look like all womyn to me.

  • Looks like a guy to me between Chris and Deb.

  • In a true punk reply, who gives a fuck!

  • I never bother to ask a punk for anything.

I just beat it out of them Siouxsie-style.

  • Fair enough, lad!

  • I'd give you the opportunity with my hands tied behind my back to have a go at that ;-)

I'd knock you out with a hard on sonny!

  • ...I started to really love this song since you posted it..played it at least 15 times.

    Thanks!

  • Love it!!!!!!!

  • ..I wish she would perform songs like these besides the mantaray songs next week..instead of the "standardsofthebanshees".But oh..its going to be one hell of a rendez-vous..she seems so powerfull in the newly potsed vids from the astoria..didn't see her like that ever before.

  • yes. The Asroria clips are great.

  • i gonna see her next week on stage.. wonderfull song, a little bit more soft then most songs of Siouxie and the Banshees , but still that ''dark '' wonderfull voice... i going too enjoin that gig alot

    thanks fro bring it up

    grtz

    erik

  • Nice to hear from you Erik. It has been a while.

  • I know, i not been around much, being busy and stuff but I always say... Out of th eye is NOT out of the heart. annyway, i look forwarth too next saturday,

  • Oh lovely...:) Thankies, nice job as well.

  • great slideshow.

  • i love the lyrics. soft siouxsie.

  • Soft but very rebellious. She is giving Siouxsie advice. "Little sister break the rules" "little sister break your vows". She is awesome. I'd love to have her as an older sister.

  • Me too...I've always felt like a little sister in my friendships, though I'm the oldest of 3 girls.

  • Me too. I'm always the little sister in my friendships but recently it's starting to change a little bit and I'm getting older than some of my new friends.

  • Schweet, we're almost twins in that sense.

  • It's good to see young people appreciating Siouxsie.

  • good music lives on

  • Good work! you managed to get this all different from the rest of the sioux-tribute vids..I like it a lot!
