Guitar instrumentals don't get any better than this, MK is a true master of his craft with beyond mortal skill. Only he could cram so many shades of human emotion into a few minutes of music. This is the type of timeless music only a truly dedicated artist could produce. Who else gets goosepimples when they listen to this?

Absolutely beautiful. Mark Knopfler is one of the true guitar greats in my opinion. An awesome artist from a time when music was based on talent rather than all that superficial crap currently infecting the charts. I've just downloaded the film which should be good if the producers had the presence of mind to commission Dire Straits to do the soundtrack. I wonder if decades from now, the music of today will have the same level of appreciation? Doubt it. Keep showing 'em how it's done Mark!

This song is so perfect in so many ways. For me one of the most important is how it shows that true, real and perfect music is first and foremost represented by the instruments. Words are then attached to the melody - most of the time they are successful. Unfortunately my generation has forgotten what real music is, and has instead gone for meaningless words with nothing behind it. This song is so amazing it almost brings a tear to my eye.
