With regards to the strong strains (White Russian is currently the strongest), being stronger, that just means you need to smoke less.

Here in the US MJ is slowly becoming legal through medicial means and mansanto is seeking to patent it as they are in bed with big pharm and the government. What does that mean? @beautifulmind546 I smoked weed daily for 14 years with minimal side effects, since I was 15 in fact. I recently stopped outright, with issues, for social and financial reasons. I will however, for the rest of my life tell people about my purely positive experience of cannabis.

The problem with cannabis is that it effects everyone differently. I have 2 friends (they are each other's brother in fact), for whom smoking a joint makes 1 irrational and the other faints...

I honestly believe that if cannabis was more socially accepted that negative stories like their would be shared more openly, but the positive effects of cannabis could be promoted and researched responsibly. Cannabis promotes brain activity, rationality and peace in the majority of users, let's not forget that too

@SpamBanjo it's not socially accepted? Nearly compulsary with most of the population in the US. I too used to be a regular smoker so I know firsthand. Brainactivity, rationality? No, just the opposite. That is disinfo. Peace? Well, is peace the same as apathy? The gov WANT the general public apathetic, depersonalized, dissociative or just psychotic so that we are easier to control. Hence medicinal legality (as well as drugging us for everything under the sun). MJ is being used against us.

For the majority of people I know who use it on a daily basis, everything I said is FACT. Yes, brain activity... the more intelligent of my associates are the smokers, who use it's mindset to learn.

@SpamBanjo I understand the need to defend MJ and it's use. It does decrease pain (so does dissociation). It's an escape. As far as the other health benefit claims, I feel they are highly exagerated by users as well as media (Intents to keep people using). "Peaceful" is often used to justify but most regular users just don't care and that is not the same as a peaceful state of mind. Peace comes from calmness within in the face of great pain and strife, not escape from it. Peace is not apathetic.

I can however talk from the point of view of an ex user who has been free to make HIS OWN choices on this matter, and HAS made his own choices on this matter. I stopped for personal and social reasons, at no point felt the need to blame the plant.

I see the effects of NOT smoking it on a daily basis, so if as you say more people around you are smoking it than not, your comparisons are jaded. Try living in a country where the majority look down on cannabis and you will see the negative side of it's prohibition on a grand scale.

reclassification has little to do with preventing people from growing/smoking weed. It's a PR move, and it also gives more powers to the police and courts in dealing with offenders. I don't smoke anymore, but I agree that legalisation, taxation, and control are the best way forwards. It means steep prices for the guy on the street and a black market will thrive (as in Holland) but it's better than nothing IMO. Stop pissing about!

Upgrading is clearly going to stop no one. The police take the wrong stance on weed issues, I feel that if growing is on the rise..and people can re-up off the profits..then they arn't scared of the repercussions and are therefore not going to stop. I don't think cannibas should be legalised but I think a looser stance should be taken on the kids that are dealing tiny amounts to friends instead of putting them in the same boat as the heavy wieght dealers who actually have wieght.
