@dayron25 There is no official way of writing the Võro dialect. Writers like Kauksi Ülle, for example, use q, whereas the "serious" linguists at Tartu University or Institute of the Estonian Language have not traditionally used it. The transcription here marks neither the palatalization nor glottal stops (those "q"-s) that you can see both in Kauksi Ülle's and traditional linguistic written texts.
@dayron25 No, q's appear in English texts instead of our õ. Most of the keyboards simply don't have this letter, so q is used instead of it. Q's are only used in foreign and imported words in Estonian.
Huvitav, kas ülejäänud eestlased peale lõuna-eestlaste sõnadest aru ka saavad? Ise olen proovinud Pärnus võru keelega hakkama saada, sealsed inimesed kohe üldse ei saanud aru. Aga mul oli naljakas vähemalt.
I don't think it was because it was an ethnic song. Wild Dance was almost an ethnic dance. And it was a lot better to look on the stage than Neiokõsõ. Neikokõsõ had almost no choreography at all compared to other competitors. It looked boring. But I did like the song a lot :)
a valley slope, a forest road, over the river, over the mountain who knows which way life may turn yet we already were yesterday and today we came and tomorrow we will go again the sun is indeed shining always in our hearts and we feel good wherever we are today we came and we are not clueless and tomorrow we will go again the sun is indeed shining always in our hearts and we feel good wherever we are
proud to speak that dialect :)

very disappointed that this didn't reach the final. Unfortunately, Eurovision audiences do not seem to like the ethnic sounds.
Also a particular shame, especially as most of the girls are serious folk musicians in Estonia.

Is Eurovision a song or a choreography contest?
Arissef 3 years ago 4
It is supposed to be a song contest, but it hasn't been only it for some years now. Everything counts now: song, choreography, the singer etc.

soo agree... can u please tell me topic of this song... i really need to know it..
zyyzyy 5 years ago
I have no idea me self. It´s in some other tipe of estonia that we have. Tii means Road but some say Tee in here. Tii is in old Estonia.
Ritsikas 5 years ago
it is di most interesting song here... can u find me some other /NEIOKOSO/ song, or this song live... don't be confused, i am zyyzyy, real zyyzyy...
p.s. i am not from albania, i am from croatia
16teenager16 5 years ago
There's no other song from Neiokõsõ. Bacuse the group was made only for eurovision.
I'm proud to say... Aapo Ilves, who wrote the lyrics is my friend ;).
noway2109 5 years ago
It's Southern Estonian dialect, which isn't really used that much any more.
The translation goes something like this:
I woke myself up in the morning
with the rooster's morning call
I went and left the gate open
so others could come as well
liisukas6 5 years ago
I cannot sleep
because the road goes on
and we will not go around
and the speed is such that
at the horizon
I can see my own toes
