Except that this is Hank III recording in his basement, and this recording sounds entirely different from the original Hank Sr one, yes, this is Hank Sr and I'm a tard. Thank God for upstanding gentlemen like you to come and light my way which used to be darkness. I might have gone forward believing the lie that Hank III told me to my face after his 2009 concert in Hollywood that this was his own recording and not his grandfather's. Good Lord, how wrong I was the whole time! Thank you, sir.
Hank III puts on a helluva show- its a country show how it ought to be- small venue, beautiful women everywhere, and beer flying! He does some Sr. songs at his shows-those songs mean the world to him God bless I, II, and III !!!!
I'm not a huge country fan, but this is some really good country music! Hank III is the best newer singer! Quick question is the audio problem at 2:34-2:38 accidental or intentional?
That is how it is on the 2nd CD of Straight to hell. The 2nd disk of straight to hell is my favorite recordings I have ever heard of Hank III. It's so simple, scratchy, and just like his grandfather, the voice absolutely makes the songs. As far as I am concerned Hank 3 is the most underrated country music artist today. he is the real deal.
Intentional. The second disc contains one "proper" track and one long track that's a mishmash of seperate recordings, with this song occurring some time during it.
The songs on disc two of STH were all recorded at various times in Hank's home with cheap worn out equipment.. Chances are this was just a flaw in the reel-to-reel tape or something like that, but left un-enhanced to preserve the original feeling.
I think it was intentional, because this track comes at the end of the album "Straight to Hell," and it is part of a larger track that is about 40 minutes. It is fascinating the listen to, because I think it is meant to be an interpretation of an alternate (drug induced?) state of mind.
this is hank SR tard
