And Voltron is good for many of us, as we did it as anime. It was a fine English dub. And GoLion is also great cause it's the original (though I loathe most of it's '81 electronic-disco score as I've been goin' through the episodes).
To each they're own, but I like both a lot and am obsessed by them. I was mearly commenting how the French and English language openings are much better.
I totally agree with you, the opening was much better in the English and French one. I bet if the Japanese saw it they would think it was better as well. That intro fit the series better than that disco crap.
I love me some Voltron: Defender of the Universe and also just got into the orignial (Hundred Beast King: GoLion), and I have Asperger's Syndrome and study foreign languages (namely French and German), and the beautiful French opening (fond on here on YouTube, and also on the Volunme 2# Yellow Lion set here in North America) blows this lame opening out of the water.
Here it's the GoLion opening with bland music. Even the dated Japanese disco-rock of '81 is better.

I really wish all of my fellow Voltron and Hundred Beast King: GoLion fans would stop acting like we don't already know the whole story. First, I loved BOTH shows, and have all of the region-1 Voltron sets and the first two GoLion ones we have.

Golion IS the precursor of all the Rangers. They were all made by Toei like Golion and so the good idea of teamwork was copied and repeated over and over again.
Can I ask something, which cartoon is the one with an evil blond prince that always sips wine? I can't remember
