I honestly don't understand why this game gets so much praise as the "hidden gem" of the Gamecube. It's got a great concept and amazing potential... but then it's all wasted on atrocious controls and monstrously bad level designs. Let this game mark the beginning of the road that brought Sonic Team to where it is today. :|

@GurahkWeavile As much as I like Billy and NiGHTS, I'm pretty sure if they made a second Billy Hatcher it would suck because have you seen the sonic games lately? They also came out with a new NiGHTS game last year and, with what I saw, I can only imagine it would take a long time to make the graphics. Another thing is Sonic is their mascot so of course they will focus on him.

My favorite was Pellwain and Richie along with the little kangaroo lion that you could ride on top of. Man, do I miss playing this game as a kid. I wish they could make a second one. That would have been so awesome. When I get the money, I'll have to see if I can re-buy it anywhere, since I got a new Wii for Christmas. I never could make it past the final boss (evil top crow) though. Even with the video walkthrough here on Youtube. It was still so fun, though.

I know, Billy's voice gives me a Headache when he hatches the Egg and the "Good Morning!" he says. I wish they hired an actual English dubber instead of keeping the Japanese voices so I wouldn't get a headache playing it. (Just in case anyone didn't know, some words in English and Japanese are pronounced the same, but with a different accent) The Theme is best left alone, it sounds great.
